killed the sho

Coming home from work yesterday, stopped at a red light and a 89-93 taurus sho pulls up next to me. He had a fart can, wing etc... well he kept toying with me until we got to the next light which turned red as we were coming up to it. So he is in the far left lane and I am in the far right lane and a civic with a little old lady driving it in the middle lane. Well light turns green and I do a average start in first gear seeing if this guy really wants to play, well I shift to second and I hear the fart cannon spooling up, so I floor it, rap 2nd out shift to 3rd still pulling, shift to 4th about 5000 rpm and finally let off at 100mph and shifted to neutral, look back and he is about 3 car links behind me. Well he comes up beside me and has this **** eating grin on his face and yells "awesome man", so I wave and we go our seperate ways.

eh 5 years ago i mightve been like "holy **** turbo SHO". but nowadays, theres a turbo kit or writeup for everything. the new thing to do is "twincharging". use a super huge turbo(like a holset hx50) for massive top end, and a supercharger to take care of the bottom and help spool that beast.

Re: killed the sho

the thing is, theres no kit for the SHO, the only way for it to be turbo'd is a full fabricated setup, and the space contraints in those cars are already tight

Re: killed the sho

for a heavy, FWD, 3.1L V6, fully loaded 4-door, they do damn good.

also have to remember, the ones you see on the road most are early to mid 90's, theyve been ragged out, and usually not maintained properly because its hard as hell to find parts for that Yamaha powerplant.
