Look at what happened in N.O. and all over the U.S. Gas wouldn't jump to $5 a gallon if people just went about their normal lives, somewhat. People filling up every car and every possible gas can they can get is what drives up the prices. I mean we also have the supply issue, but it all comes down to basic economics. Higher demand and shorter supply = higher prices. Car pooling and staying at home will help out on the demand and bring gas prices down believe it or not.

It was bad, yes, but it is true. When you are told to leave and you think you are above the laws of nature, you deserve to be a victim. I think Gov Blanco said it best yesterday "If you feel you need to stick it out, do everyone a favor and write your SSN on your arm so we can identify you later." I thought that was the best quote of the week right there. Needless to say, everyone I have talked to is pissed about that and says she is being insensative. **** em, they chose to stay, they can deal with the consequences then.

As for gas, ****ers started panicing last night. I mean, how many days has this thing been coming for now? And now everything in the city needs gas. Well, guess what, one by one stations are drying up. I had to get gas because I was on a 1/8 of a tank. Took 45 minutes to get gas. Not to mention the guy I was behind talked for about 10 minutes after getting gas, until I pulled my truck up almost to his bumper and said move or I move you. People suck...they really do. /rant off

Case in point of my arguement:

Hopefully she took Blanco's advice and wrote her SSN on her arm so they can identify her later.
