Amazing Graphics, FS2004

If you guys didn't know, im pretty heavy into flight simulation, I would really love to be an airline pilot when I get older, and this is another one of my hobbies along with my pony, I just thought id share with you guys this video and to show you how sickening technology is getting these days, all satellite generated, remember, this is all a game simulation, Flight Simulator 2004.

see.. thats awesome. i would love to play a game like that. only problem is that im not a fan of games that have a HUGE learning curve. games like that seem very hard to learn and thats a turn off to me.

Re: Amazing Graphics, FS2004

It was very hard to learn, when I first got into Flight Simulation, I was 8-9 years old and the first Simulator I played was Flight Simulator 98 which was back in 97, it didnt take me that long to learn, but then when FS2002 came out, that was a HUGE step up and took me about a year and a half to learn all the basics to operate a plane safely, its really amazing that once you do learn all these things, you start flying flights, with real airlines and such, its just a great hobby. Especially since its gotten this good.

Man, those games are awesome, I need to buy a decent joystick and get back into that. On flight sim 2002 I did the whole license testing and everything to learn everything, took forever but it was sure alot more fun when you know what you're doing lol. Used to jump from air port to air port just for the fun of it.

Ya the first time I actually started landing on the runway and not on the grass was FS2000 I was really happy I started getting the hang of it, ive got USB Yoke, for those that dont know its the thing you use to pitch the plane up and down and left and right.

sounds like either your gear wasnt up, or your flaps were still in the takeoff position.

Re: Amazing Graphics, FS2004

wow, it's been a while. I first got Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator (WWII) and loved it. Got Combat Flight Simulator 2 when it came out, then got Flight Simulator 2000. I loved them all but haven't played them in soooo long. I think i'm going to bring back the fun tonight.

Re: Amazing Graphics, FS2004

I used to play Jane's USAF and US Navy Fighter and Microsofts Flight Sim all the time.

I think that's what got me into aviation so heavy.

Then I got accepted to USAFA and didn't go.
