Re: Texas Longhorns

I have pride but some things are just stupid. All the sports teams i support are from Texas, I am moving back to Texas because I don't want to live anywhere else, I want my kid to play football in Texas, I am all about Texas.

If you haven't noticed, everyone is hating on Texas and the Texas Longhorns lately, even in the media!

Maybe texas and california will both float off (much harder for texas to do so but heck we can wish) maybe they can go over and join up with japan or somewhere in mexico (might as well)

Re: Texas Longhorns

Its kind of for the same reason they dislike cali so much. The general attitude of the people that are from there that think their state is so much better than every other state. I know SVTP had a looooong thread debating which state was better cali or texas....when in reality, there are 48 other states to consider.

So, it's generally the attitude of the people...cockiness...etc.

Because being born in Texas gives you absolutely nothing to brag about over the 49 other states, yet Texas people have to be the most annoying people alive with their don't mess with Texas ****.

Like I said, you can start to claim don't mess with Texas when you can get all the illegals to stop actually messing with Texas.

I really do think that I hate the state of Texas more than California. At least California keeps their pile of **** in state and doesn't try to brag about it with some dumb saying.

California is where all the liberal tree hugging crap of America has its voice and Texas is where all the redneck religious nuts of America have their voice.

Both annoy the **** out of me because both states make up everything that annoys me about Americans as a whole.

There are illegals everywhere... but they come in over the mexico/texas border for the most part, I think that is what Brent is saying.

Like I said I am from Texas and I am moving back to Texas and I think the whole "Don't Mess With Texas" saying is stupid. I am in the military and I have worked with people from just about every state and I can honestly say that people from Virginia are the most annoying to me.

I'm religous but have no problem with gambling I've never heard anyone in my church talk about gambling being wrong.

Yeah I don't understand that at all. I remember a few years ago the voters shot down a state lotto in Alabama. I know some people from Tennessee that are getting a free ride to college because their state has a lotto.

They've shot it down a few times, actually. But, hopefully we'll eventually get a Governor, and house that'll have enough balls to stand-up against all the "holier than thou" bastards we have over here. I assume ya'll have heard about the "bingo" controversy we've had here? Gov. Riley and his band of bible-thumpers have been all over it! Tried shutting down "Country Crossing" before they even broke ground on it, and have tried several times since. The silly bastard even tried to rule it as illegal, even after a Supreme Court ruling stated otherwise. Honestly, I think it burns their asses, that Ronnie Gilley is actually making it work, but they'll keep trying. In my opinion, it Might be cheaper for Ronnie to "sell" the land to the Creeks......cause Riley can't **** with them. By sell, I mean on paper, so it'd be reservation land, and naturally give the Creeks their cut.

Re: Texas Longhorns

There has been a shift in my part of the state. Tupelo, Starkville, and a few other towns have passed or considering voting on beer and liquior sales on Sunday and a few other towns are about to vote to go wet. My home county is still dry, but I have hopes now.

I know we plenty of religious rednecks here. Massachusetts has plenty of liberals. My point was Texas and California seem to be poster states for those groups.
