For our ME veterans/military members.

Thanks for serving our country. I really appreciate what you have given for us.

This country would not be great without you.

I have several friends who have returned from overseas, and a few close friends who are going to be leaving first of the year. I'm proud of you guys and all you do.

Re: For our ME veterans/military members.

Thank you very much. It has been an honor and pleasure to serve for 23 years.

I would like to say, to some special friends, who are no longer here, Thanks Guys. This one day reminds me of friends lost. Actually I remember them many times during the year. Friends like Sam Cole lost at a classified location in 1985, Chief Belden lost in 2002, and a few others.

I think, and say, damn I was lucky. In a few years, I will join them, in a place of honor, a place of rest, a place that offers solitude, with no nightmares. And hopefully a place that has a few Cobras!!

Tonight I get to cook at the Legion for many of our veterans. John, who was a gunner in WW2. Jerry a guy who was a marine in Vietnam, and many others. Tonight we will eat, drink, and cry. Remembering some friends, and family.

Thanks Guys, from a member of a select group.
