Chevy Cobalt -- my review

I have been driving a 2dr chevy cobalt for the past day or so while my car is in the shop getting my new clutch installed.

Not a bad little car. It's kinda roomy for a 2dr. The engine is actually REALLY peppy. You V6s be on the lookout. I could guess that it does 0-60 in about 7sec. Not bad for an N/A 4 banger. Handles fairly well too.

Just thought I would post this cause I'm tired and bored and rambling

Re: Chevy Cobalt -- my review

the S/c cobalts only come with 5 spds, so even if a rental agency wanted to rent them. it would be illegal.

I am having them install a new methanol injection kit, and I had to send my ECU out to get flashed for it. So I overnighted it to NJ on Tuesday and it should be back in TX today. So I had to rent a car for the 2 days my car was without an ECU. I am sure they are done with the clutch already.

I have no idea how someone can be done w/ an AWD clutch job in 4hrs though. The shop I took mine to is the same one that everyone in N. Texas and even some from other parts of Texas, Oklahoma, etc goes to and so they their fair share. They quote about 8hrs

nah, this is the auto n/a model.

Couple things I don't like about it and unless there was a way to fix it (most are styling so there's not), I wouldn't buy this car.
-The drivers seat sits way too high. I am 5'9" and my head almost hits the ceiling. That being said, the rear view mirror is in direct line of vision of the middle of the road.
-The rear glass is at an extreme slope. And the body is raked to the front, so looking at the rear view mirror, only about half of it shows outside. The rest shows roof or rear seats. Can't see anything behind me.
-Side view mirrors are pointed at the outtermost part. So I'm trying to check my sides before changing lanes and I have to look at a little point of mirror. --> major blind spot.
-With the rear at a rake, the C-pillars are freaking huge and rear side windows are small. --> another big blind spot.

So, you have poor visibility, and you sit way too high. Has cool radio controls on the steering wheel and nice instrument panel though

Re: Chevy Cobalt -- my review

I've heard some pretty good things about 'em. Even tho the SS only puts down 202hp, it does very well because it's so peppy and has 4 banger acceleration. Still kinda disappointing tho for having a poweradder.
