Aerial view of a retirement home in my city

Yeah, now that all you creeps thought I caught your granny nude sunbathing, here is what it really is. A German engineer built this building in the 1950s.

Re: Aerial view of a retirement home in my city

It used to not have the little wings that run north and south off of the west and east sides. So it was really a swastika. I think it had alot less to do with Nazis and alot more to do with functionality. If the building catches on fire, it's a minimal distance out of the building from any room. Since it's a retirement home (and alot of the people won't be incredibly mobile) that's a good design feature.

Re: Aerial view of a retirement home in my city

Yeah, I could tell that the little additions didn't look like they had been there originally either.

I also thought about the design functionality, but it's still pretty crazy.

Re: Aerial view of a retirement home in my city

That's a little scary that someone let that happen in the 50's. Didn't anyone see the building plans and go whoa wtf m8?
