i find it more funny its being sold in CA and it says this:
Quote:
Possibly unique in this color as only 64 road cars were ever built. EPA and DOT certified in 49 states (cannot be registered in CA).

of the 7 that were legalized in the US, 2 are owned by Jay Leno (in CA) and one came to Houston and I'm sure at least one more was in CA. Just cause it's not "street legal" doesn't mean people don't drive it. My evo wasn't street legal cause of the lack of a cat

That dealership isn't too far from me. When you win the auction i'll pick it up for you and drive it to Texas free of charge.

Not to throw this thread off it's track, how hard is it to delete your cats?

Wow...that was out of left field. In california...I wouldn't get caught dead with a car with no cats...they'd rape your dead body for payment of fines. Elsewhere, it's pretty easy, just gotta tell your computer they're not on there.

Re: So, I splurged and bought myself a nice Christmas present :)

on a mustang, you would have to cut and weld. on my evo, I had to undo 6 bolts (3 from each flange) and the cat came off and I put a piece of metal tubing in it's place.

The V6 stang sounds like complete *** without cats. You will swear your mustang is a honda above 3k rpms. I have ridden in one without cats and it was terrible. He put them back on to get rid of the sound and sacrificed the few hp he gained

why not, its no different than if you have any other modifications and get pulled over for speeding but the cop sees youre car is classified as a modified car and makes you pop the hood and finds everything else wrong.

you just get reffed, meaning you have to now take your car to a smog station where they check EVERYTHING and if anything looks modified, you fail. so basically you have to revert back to totally stock(even stupid things like amp wiring and **** like that that has no effect on a cars exhaust output).

and getting a cat delete is a easy thing to do. most times they make cat delete pipes, also known as test pipes, that are just thru-pipes that bolt in place of the catalytic. i have mine for my GST still, i used it a few times when i knew id want/need the extra quick spool and flow, like at the track or when going onto the strip. just need to unbolt a few bolts, slide the cat out, slide the pipe in, bolt it up and go. if i was caught, i get reffed, and basically have to put everything stock back on, which is a given, and i made all my modifications fully reversible and i save all my stock stuff.

like ***. v8's get away with it, but even i think they tend to sound a bit raspy in higher rpm's. and its one thing to have a loud nice sounding exhaust, than a loud ****ty sounding exhaust, cause the latter is whats going to alert a cop to your presence. as in, if you have a loud *** honduh that sounds like jizz, youre gonna get pulled over. if you have a loud mustang that sounds like pure sex, youre probably not, unless you are driving like an idiot and revving all over the place, like a honduh.

they sit on either side of you (driver in the middle) and they sit slightly behind you. So they're not at an angle, but the front of their chairs start about halfway of your seat bottom. Plus they don't allow fat people to own these cause the seats are so skinny. You have to have a fairly small waist or else pull the passenger seats and get one wide load seat
