Well guys it is probably time to say good bye to my V6

Well I just got my car back after 400 dollars and it runs. It no longer detonates but it still has a engine knock in it. I dont know what the hell is wrong with it.

I do not have the money to buy a new transmission and I am sick of this damn car. It is a POS and something is always going wrong with it. I just want a reliable car for once in my life.

I am selling my car AND all my engine parts that I bought and I am going to be looking for a 94-95 GT to replace it.

I have someone interested in my block and my crankshaft already as well as swapping my 8.8 out for his 7.5. I will be making a post about the rest of the parts I am selling as well. I have just hit the last straw with my car.

There is no way I could have a built engine and not have some fun in it. I just want to get rid of this car. The current tranny has 115k miles on it and is original. I dont have the money for the 5-speed swap and I just want to get rid of this car. It is a pain in the *** and has cost me more money and pain than it is worth.

I am going to be getting a 94-95 5 Speed GT

after a rebuild it still knocks? dam, aint that some ****.

eh, you shouldve got a 5spd GT in the first place. now all the money you wouldve put into the 6 on miscellaneous crap, you can now throw a SC onto the GT, with some nice heads, cam, bolt ons, etc.

It never gad a rebuild in the first place. The cps was gone, then the coil pack when. I dont want to keep the car long enought for the next 200 dollar part to fail or the 1050 overhaul of the transmission.

So what are you thinking of asking for it? How about a trade for a 96 exlorer?

Today I decided my v6 build was going to be a 94-98 so I can have one of each body style. So, seriously, what are you thinking of asking for it?

The comes a time in every young man's life when he reaches the point that a v6 is just not worth it anymore. He soon will become a man and leave ricers everywhere breathless with the sound of a modded v8.

No biggie, sucks you gotta do it but atleast your not getting a minivan instead.

And then there comes a time when you are tired of making ricers pee their pants with your V8 and you can't find any worthy competitors around...so you pick up a V6 just so you can shut them up.....which is the stage I am approaching.

Now...to get the case for his car....hmm...

ah brent i thought you were still working on that 4.2l to get it running. i know you went with the stroker cause it was getting knock, so i figured you just got it back from the machine shop and got everything back in, and it still knocks.

my bad homes. still sucks though.

you think getting a 5.0 will solve your modding needs??
IMO once you're bitten by the bug.. you won't be able to stop - and starting with a v8 is gonna make an even bigger difference... IMO

I no longer have a 5.0.. I upgraded a smidge, a year ago a 5.0 woulda been fine by me..
