You can't beat it OT, travel on company's dime. Maybe you will get to meet Mr. Toyoda while he's here if you haven't already.

Re: Work has been interesting!

I was wondering how you were doing through all of this. I'm glad you are working hard and enjoying it. I agree with the Ford comment on the first page. You would either be on the TAG line or maybe out of work by now. You definately made the right choice going to Toyota. I heard the dealers are hiring like crazy right now. They are going to run 2 maybe 3 shifts to get all the updates in. Toyota will bounce back, but in the mean time, this is making us look good, haha

Re: Work has been interesting!

This is exactly what Ford needs right now. One of the main foreign competitors is on crutches, while their own stock is soaring related to recent prices, and people are having confidence in them once again. They're also offering good incentives while the foreign competitors who are still in the game are not (Honda and Nissan).

Ford is currently in a spot to really soar... they better take advantage of it, and I think they will. Their current line-up along with future cars is stellar to say the least.

Actually shook his hand earlier this morning..

All the associates gathered at TMS HQ in Torrance, all 5 floors on, and overlooking the Atrium..

Jim Lentz and Inaba were returning from the Congressional hearings.. and they gave a great pep talk.. while Inaba was talking, a guy bumped into me, I turned around.. resembled Akio, had a bunch of cohorts/advisers with him and was wearing an easily $5k suit.. I think I was the first to say anything to him, thanked him and shook his hand -

It was pretty cool because he actually took the time to thank me for my hard work, and he sounded pretty sincere about it (though he doesn't even know what my job is, just that I work for the company haha) I think he was surprised that I recognized him, too - It was announced shortly after that we had a surprise visitor, then he was introduced to all

Wow that is pretty cool and amazing you recognized him. I'm sure he was sincere, as you basically help ensure the future of his company.
