All this sort of thing I find to be very interesting, and will possibly be my career choice, but they will never find life outside Earth. Woop de doo, they found water. That's not all it takes to support living organisms, unless they exist on a level so different from our own that we wouldn't be able to detect them as living in the first place. Now think about that one 2:

yup.

people who are too ignorant to believe there is life on other planets prolly believe the universe revolves around Earth and the Earth is flat.

dude.......soooo not talking about that

dude, aliens exist. they took me to their home planet. they beamed me up at first and were goin to probe me, but i kicked thier asses. their home planet is not mars, as a matter of fact, its not in this galaxy, its a planet called "marklar" in a galaxy about 15487879328473274834 light years away

you know they have cures for all earthy diseases

and there space ships are named after mustangs too. only instead of "mach 1" its called "lightspeed 8"

the aliens come and visit every now and then, and when they do they bring me **** from their planet. but the problem with that is the stuff they bring just evaporates in our atmosphrere. they give the gifts in a special plastic bag and when i opened it, it evoporated. so i called gerflaken (the alien who gave me the gift) on his cell phone and told him whats up. he told me that you cant open it, only look b/c of the evaporation thing. but he should be coming down in the next couple weeks for another visit. i'll post pics next time of his gift next time. i cant get a pic of him b/c his pic doesnt show up in a camera. its b/c of the skin-type outer layer the aliens are made out of.

the guy i mentioned ealier (gerflaken) is about 10ft tall and orange (he gets mad when us humans assume all are green, thats just the asian aliens. he's a spanish alien).

the reason i was chosen to go on the spaceship and view thier planet was b/c my mental capacity was far superior to that of the average person. the planet is very nice. they have teleporters and **** on there, they said that we wont get those until the year 2310 though, at our slow *** rate of technilogical development.

they are making me a flux capacitor for my car that will make the necessary 1.21 jigawatts needed to go from 0-88 in like 3.4 seconds. so that should be pretty fun. its kinda like a supercharger but instead of making boost, it makes jigawatts.

our money is useless on his planet. actually, over there, no money is used. each person pulls his/her own wieght over there. its kinda like "i do you a favor in exchange for a good" type of thing. for example: gerflaken will work for one alien for a few months in return for a house and work for another in return for food.

gerflaken is a spaceship mechanic and gonna use that flux capacitor and modify it for the 3.9

....Just because two people dressed in all black with masks come into your house at night and tell you their are aliens and you let them PIITB doesnt mean they are from another world... and you my friend are confused.

And irritation, itching, bumps, puss excretion, burning sensations, throat irritation, and soarness are NOT symptoms of intersteller travel...

Re: Ohs noes!!!!1111 Water on one of Saturn's Moons

this is a very great time to be alive. i have no doubts that a expedition with better scientific hardware WILL find some sort of organism, be it single celled or multi-cellular.

and just like someone said, this is all just in one solar system, and theres trillions that are just like ours. i cant believe people still think the earth is alone and were the only ones, and that when they look to the heavens theyre just seeing what their "supreme being" wants them to see.

someday people will look back on our age and laugh saying how shallow we were for thinking we were the only organisms in the universe just as we do to people thinking the world is flat and earth being the center of the universe.

This is very true. The more we learn, the more we discover that we really don't know much at all. Just think, one day we'll all be seen as the ignorant people we actually are.

Too bad the people reflecting on us will only be ever so slighty less ignorant than us. They'll get the same treatment someday too.

Meh, water is not all it takes. Water sustains, it doesn't cause life. Our problem is that we're trying to look for life entirely too similar to what we know as life. We are looking for things that we know can sustain life on our planet. How do we know life somewhere else hasn't been made to live off things we don't even know exist.

I just find it somewhat amusing that scientists can't figure out what causes life, but they have determined that ALL life must rely on the same chemicals and what not that life on Earth does.

For example: How do we know that life has not been made to exist in a vacuum? Thus it can only live in space, and if it were to be moved to a planet surface, it would be instantly crushed by the atmosphere.

Nerd moment over.

I think the 3.25 billion dollars for that project could have been spent in better ways. Sure it's nice to know what's out there but how do we as humans gain from finding another life form? I think there's some exciting stuff out there but it's crazy to spend all that money for outerspace when there's stuff we could use it to further develop us here on earth.

no offense, but this is a rather ignorant post. We could find life that is 100% different than life on Earth. Life on Earth is dependant upon genes made of DNA... also, there's RNA and stuff and there are really similar... but life else where would have a completely different strategy. We could learn some very very cool strategies for surviving. Also, maybe find ways to help us find cures for disease. You simply don't know what you can find out until you've started looking.

The future of mankind is in space. The planet's only going to be here a limited amount of time. Granted, it is several billion more years, but eventually we'll have to move on.

And that money could be used to fund companies looking to cure diseases.
