Since i have no place to post kills...

Ive been out doing some street racing, and to my amazement, ive lost once out of quite a few races. I just feel like rattling some of them off for you guys.

-96ish Civic SI, intake, exhaust, basic bolt ons. I have to admit, the car looked good for a civic. Very clean, nice wheels, lowered. Went from a roll (his mistake), i let him get 2 cars ahead of me, and just blew right by him. He pulls up next to me at the light, rolls the window down, and sayd "that cars turbo'd like a mother f*cker!"

-98ish VW GTI, 1.8T. He was modded, had a Gredy Profec B boost control setup, front mount intercooler, full exhaust, BOV, all the basic stuff. We ran on the highway, since he wouldnt go from a light. we ran from 65, pulled a car and a half on him when i ran him from third. We ran again, i ran him from 4th, and he got about a car and a half on me. Very fun race.

-89ish Integra, had some sort of engine swap, i think an LS vtec swap. Another roller racer. From the top of second, yanked 2 cars on him, and in 3rd gear, got another 2 cars before i let off of it. Too easy.

-Acura TL. We go from a light, i burn the tires off my car, i couldnt hook. He got his rear bumper just ahead of my front bumper, and i couldnt reel him in. Very cool guy.

This is the one that is actually somewhat brag worthy.

-2002 Gt with a 5-speed. I saw a younger guy in it with his girlfriend, so i know if im going to mess with him, he's not going to look like a ***** in front of his girl. I slingshot by him in 2nd gear, and i watch him dart around someone to get up to me. From 3rd gear, his nose was at my rear tire. We got to a light, and he gave the nod with a big smile on his face. Light goes green, and you hear two cars wack the rev limiter and grab second, we're both spinning our asses off. I hooked before he did, and yanked a carlength on him, he hooked and got up to my rear tire again, i started to very very slowly pull, then we got on the brakes.

There are others, but nothing too worthy of speaking of.

Re: Since i have no place to post kills...

speaking of illegal stuff..

friends of mine with evos want to get together tomorrow to see who's exhaust is louder. (Not in a ricer way) One replaced the entire exhaust system, the other replaced bits and pieces but has an intake.

we'll see how it goes. Should be a very fun night tho lol

Re: Since i have no place to post kills...

I'm kinda iffy on the whole street racing thing. I don't think someone should be taken out in the town square and stoned for doing a little 0-60 or so run from a light (especially at some of the lights around here that are on 55mph highways to begin with). I also don't think a little late night interstate pull from a roll up to maybe 100 or so is all that bad as long as there are no other cars around.

But with that being said, some people are extremely stupid and are not at all careful in how they do this stuff. You've got the kids in the 100 hp cars with little 205 bicycle tires on their stock suspension Hondas trying to do 120+ mph down the interstate. Then you've got these guys in 600+ hp cars trying to "launch" them on busy streets.

All in all, I try to stay away from it and rarely do it myself. However, I will admit that every once in a while I'll do a little 0-60 run. Really, who doesn't? I think that even the guys on different forums who swear against it are probably even guilty of this on occasion. I just encourage everyone that is into the stuff to use some common sense.

BTW... as a side story... I absolutely wasted a newer model Celica the other day. At the first light I don't think he was trying cause I put probably 10 bus lengths on him. I got lucky and we caught another light. This time I barely took off, just enough to roll into 2nd gear. I stayed right exactly beside the guy until he finally punched it and jumped about a fender on me until I punched it too and pulled about 3 bus lengths. These lengths are the best I could estimate, it's hard to tell when they're that far.

Now you're probably wondering why I'm picking on a seemingly stock Celica, and that's a good question. The reason is when I pulled up at the 1st light I saw his custom license plate that read... and I **** you not on this one:

I'm sorry. I just had to.
