Well ladies and gentlemen...

By tomorrow night I should be the owner of a brand new 2006 Ford Mustang GT. It's Vista Blue with a leather Graphite interior. It has the IUP, Shaker 1000 system, the 18" 'Fan-blade' wheels with the Pony center caps, side air-bags, and anti-theft system. Basically fully loaded. Oh yeah, and a five speed (of course).

It was going to be either that or an 03-04 Cobra and I decided on the 06 for several reasons. Mainly price, insurance costs, looks (call me crazy but I love the way the 05s look except for the rear bumper, especially the interior), the fact that it's on an entire new platform (versus the 27 year old fox chassis), and the simple fact that it's a new car. This way I don't have to worry about "inheriting" anyone else's problems.

I haven't actually seen the car yet (it's at a dealership in Memphis), but it should be here tomorrow, and I'll get some pics up then.

I'm still gonna be keeping the fox too though. I have plans for it...

EDIT: Now it's going to be Monday before I can pick it up. Apparently all of Bank Independent's loan officers are devout Catholics and decided to all take off work on Good Friday, or something like that. I just blame it all on Brandon instead.

EDIT AGAIN: Since I won't be getting until Monday now... here's some pics of a car that looks just like it.

Yeah, it was kind of sudden. But I'm going to be moving to Texas around the first of June to start a new job. So I'm going to need something under warranty (I'll be living in an apartment and won't be able to work on anything on my own) and something that can withstand the Texas heat. Not to mention, 9 hour drives back to Alabama on occasion.

I think the ol' 5.0 could handle it just fine. But I'll be making enough money where making the car payment and insurance won't really be that big of a deal. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Plus this way I can finally go balls to the wall on the LX... I'm thinkin' 408. Maybe a T76.

Of course, I'll have to do a couple little things to the 06 first.

Re: Well ladies and gentlemen...

should have got a cobra... but oh well. I have a warranty for 3 more years on my car. The only reason I picked up the cobra over the GT was power/performance and the GT was more expensive. You have a backup car to make fast.

He's obviously not worried about having the fastest DD on the road. His fox can do that for him.

Funny you say that... because the first thing I'm planning on is the CDC duck tail. And please forgive any grammar/speling issues cause I'm cureently about as drunk as I can get and still be able to operate a mourse/skeyboards/whatever.
