1st gen ranger with a 2.3t swap vs an evo

Video - SVO Ranger Vs. Evo. 2.3L Turbo Vs. 2.0L Turbo.

That's one fast truck being that I highly doubt that guy put much money in it.

Edit: Just found some info and the guy has 2300 in the truck including the cost of the truck.

If you read the comments, a guy in there claims the truck is his and says it ran a 12.62 @110.78. Gotta watch out for those 2.3 turbos.

True, but looks are subjective... speed isn't.

By majority you mean you and herb then think what you want. If anyone truely has a problem with me posting about my truck get the balls and say so. Other wise I could careless what you or herb think of my truck. If it makes you feel big and tough talking bad about my truck then let the penis extension begin otherwise SHUT IT! also nobody makes you look at my post except yourself so if your going to wine and complain i'll bring the cheese and you can eat it.

speed and looks are both subjective depending on what you consider fast. If you want a polished turd that runs 10s its cheap to do~ go buy a rusted out what not and have at it~

Maybe, but a 12.62 second run is a 12.62 second run is a 12.62 second run is a 12.62 second run. No matter how bad you spun off the line, or how fast you trapped, or how many rods you bent on the way down the track... it's still a 12.62 second run.

Nothing subjective about that.

Besides, how many other 12 second vehicles are there out there that you could throw a dog box in and go coon huntin' when you get back home from the track? And isn't that what living in the South is all about?

This text is nearly invisible... but not quite. BLAH!!!!!

Yeah, but it's more fun if it's not really. And yeah, just imagine how many gallons of moonshine you could fit in the back of that ranger. No way the po-po would ever catch you either.

That truck has been into the 11's if i remember correctly. He goes by DeathByPSI on turboford.org.

"It looks like ****", funny you say that, because it looks like a piece of ****, and when it outruns your good looking car...how does that make you look?

Id rather have a 13 second car that Id want to take a girl on a date in than an 11-12 second rustbox that can get down the 1320 quicker than I can...

And imagine what the girl would think if you got your *** handed to you by that "rust box", that hardly has any rust on it.

This is the same thought pattern as MusclesFromBrussles, when we got into talking about my dodge "i wouldnt race it, its too ugly"

I think I'm with Zim. A) I wouldn't race with a girl in the passenger seat because I'd be on the street and B) I would just laugh and wonder how much money went into that engine, and any girl I was with would do the same.

hrm. seeing as theres no rules against racing with a chick in the car at the strip?

and if youre talking about how much he spent on that ranger+swap, then its about the same amount for all his stuff as you put for your down payment.

ill give props when its due. badass little ranger. who cares what it looks like when its blowing the doors of a 30k car with 5k in mods.
