since when is pushing more than 300rwhp to low, how many 5.0s out there with actual aftermarket heads, cam, intakes are pushing much over that? The v6 crowd doesnt even get aftermarket heads, they have to port/polish what they have already. I see a good many 5.0s with bolt ons h/c/i and are very happy with 300rwhp/tq

yeh cuz 300rwhp/tq for us in down in the 12s possibly a high 11 with the right driver. lol that would be good enough for me to.

With my 5.0, im aiming for 400-450rwhp. You know why? H/C/I LS1's put 450 to the wheels easily, and ive seen a bolt on LS1 with a cam push 430 to the wheels with a very custom cam.

People doing top end swaps making 450 to the wheels is why pushing 300rwhp is too low

I wouldn't worry about what everyone else is doing. In my opinion, for a 3000-3300 pound, daily driven street car, 300 rwhp is plenty.

ben, why is your car only around 300rwhp with heads/cam/intakes? How are they putting 450rwhp down, just seen so many with h/c/i doin 300rwhp. Im not talking about stroking, altering compression, just h/c/i.

I'd **** a brick if I saw a 302 with H/C/I put down 450 rwhp. He was referring to LS1s.

It will take a lot more than a H/C/I swap to get that much out of a 302.

he said he was aiming for 450rwhp on his motor with h/c/i so that threw me off, is he building an ls1?

He never said he was aiming for 450 rwhp on his motor with H/C/I. He said he is aiming for 450 rwhp with his 5.0.

that makes since then, but why is he still putting down only making 300rwhp on a N/A v6? It seemed like he ment h/c/i as he followed the statment by saying ls1's do it with h/c/i... hmmm maybe he knows something we dont about building n/a 5.0 fords.

It was Spector that had to go and drag me off into some sort of la la land. At first, I understood exactly what you were saying until he started talking about 450 rwhp out of a H/C/I only 302. That crazy bastard...

EDIT: Oh yeah, and he's gay too. Definitely gay.
