Do you happen to know how bad some of the Dallas area (Greenville in particular) dealerships are about voiding warranties? I would like to at least do a CAI and SCT tuner on the 06. I was also curious if I could possibly have them install one of the FRPP performance packages (the handling pack) under warranty. I'll be living in an apartment with no tools... so I can't afford to void my warranty. I've got the full, extended 5-year, 75,000 mile warranty if that makes a difference.

I may have to drive down to San Antonio if I need anything done...

Re: Broke my old record

If you put a chip on the processor your warranty is pretty much voided if anything goes wrong engine wise.I cannot blame them there. No, they will not install the suspension package under warranty either.

Re: Broke my old record

I work for Volvo marine racing in Offshore boat racing as well as built race car engines and Motorcycle engines. Those shops had there own tools. I was a jet engine mechanic in the Airforce and in civilian world for Lockheed Martin until I went back to school and got into engineering. Most of my tools were for home use building engines for people.

Re: Broke my old record

I got out of the chair force because I was tired of the BS at that time.Having been screwed around with my pay when my unit got activated during Desert Storm added to my frustration.Looking back at it I wish I would have stayed in.I would have had about 3 years until retirement.
