Re: Ford concept copmobile to replace crown Vic

Ford’s engine for the Interceptor comes with two V-6 powertrain options, starting with the efficient 3.5-liter V-6 engine which delivers at least 263 horsepower. Its E85 compatibility is 25 per cent more efficient than the 4.6-liter single overhead cam (SOHC) V-8 offered in the current Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. An the all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 twin-turbocharged, direct-injection engine will offer at least 365 horsepower and 350 ft.-lb. of torque

Re: Ford concept copmobile to replace crown Vic

I like it, but it looks too much like the impala at first glance. It's about time they replace the Crown Vic. Most Pd's here have stopped carrying the Crown Vic. Most of metro ATL is Chevy, or Dodge. GSP-went to all chargers. Silver and blue they look nice. City of Atlanta replaces car's only when need be it seems. They got some old ones in that fleet.

The New Ford Police Interceptor Here is the official site. It's pretty cool watch the video. It looks like Ford is getting it. I know I just knocked it earlier but it will be a nice car.

Yeah it's got some really cool extra features. It seems like it has the sync system. I like the i-pod hookup. I'd like to see Dodge and Chevy beat that.

Re: Ford concept copmobile to replace crown Vic

I wonder if the PD's will have some "custom" work done to them or if they will be fast enough in stock form?

Either way, I like the idea of seeing them and chargers as law enforcement vehicles...just as long as they're not pulling my *** over

Re: Ford concept copmobile to replace crown Vic

Nice We have a charcoal grey charger that's basically identical to a civilian one with the exception of the light bar barely seen in the rear window. I've come so close to getting burned by that sonofa***** it's not even funny.

I also saw a picture of a Mach 1 with the light bar online...not sure if it was real though, either way it looked sweet.

Ouch.. In Georgia an un-marked car can pull you over, but a marked car has to show-up when the ticket is being issued. So you don't run into that problem too often here. Unless your just asking for a ticket, like swerving all over road. Most of our undercover cars are Detective's/DUI-Drug or ICE.

Rarely see any ICE agents around. I'd like to see more of em. I'm sure they around, but probably held up working at the jail's processing illegals, rather than catching them.
