a win win situation

Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border, take the
dirt and raise the levies in New Orleans. Then, put the Florida alligators in
the moat. Any other problems you would like for me to solve?

even better idea, hire the illegals to dig it, with shovels, and save massive $$... and then, when they're done... tell them to get the **** out, and don't pay them

nah cause then the mexican goverment would sue when the illegal imigrants trying to use the tunnels under the border got drowned due to the seepage, and mexico would lose even more money cause the drug smuggling would be cut to almost nothing.

i say turn the whole border into a radioactive waste storage facility. put one barrel of waste per 10 feet. to ignorant onlookers, it looks like an innocent passage into freedom, but in reality it would be a slow painful death. you *Might* make it through, but you wouldnt last long on the other side, if you even made it.

Problem is, once over here, they would then suck the resources out of our system to pay for all of their medical bills...you know, like they do now...only they would be higher because they would include cancer treatment etc.

I like the moat idea, except there is no accounting for boats. Look at cubans, there is a 90 mile wide "moat" between cuba and florida and they find ways to make it over here whether by boat, raft, barrel. So, take the moat idea and instead of populating with gators install mines just below the surface of the water. Anyone swimming, floating, anything will hit the mine and be removed from the equation completely. For those that might try and get cute and dive under the mines, install a form of remote detonation that sense the movement/body temp/whatever and have it detonate.

lastly, install a severely high powered line right at the edge of the moat on our side. Anyone that manages to survive the crossing would be forced to cross this power line. Well, with clothing etc being wet, they would end up touching the wire and sizzle sizzle fry fry...removed from the equation. If not a wire/fence, then use an electified steel plate or something to get the job done.

If they make it through that, then they are pretty smart and/or lucky...welcome to the country.

Then you will have dead bodies floating around and such. See, with the mines, you will only have pieces which could be cleaned up quicker by bacteria and that would probably sink and such. Bodies are too big to leave floating around.
