My philosophy at work is...if it won't break or move it, get something bigger. Hence the reason we have 2 backhoe's, a bulldozer, 3 tractors, a 4 wheeler, a dump truck, and countless lawn mowers. We can take care of dang near anything

Re: The South...

That guy in the video was a n00b and in no way represents what a southerner would have done in that situation.

We would have used a backhoe to break that **** the first time.

Exactly, why go small when you can go big. My way to solve that situation would be to take the bulldozer and push the truck backwards into the rear bucket of the backhoe fully extended with enough force to break the rear window and the back half of the cab.

I believe I can say what I feel because I have been in the north and been out to the Pacific west. I genuinely feel a great part of California especially the population centers live up to there stereo typing. The NorthEast is about the same. Outside the population Centers of New York are great but the population centers also live up to the stereo types. Now when people who live in the South llive up to the Stereo types they typically live in the boonies far from population centers and are minority. The population centers of the south are as modern as any city on earth just much cleaner and more trees and green areas

The cities are more modern, remember, most of the south was destroyed in the
civil war and has less of the rust-belt type of malaise that is so prevalent in the north.

When I lived in Rock Hill, SC it was mostly new! Very nice place, and less humid than the midwest...

I will second that, I live in Rock Hill and it is a very nice place to live. I grew up in Western NY(bout 60 miles south of Buffalo) and the people down here are much nicer than back home. It took me awhile to get used to the fact that folks down here actually say hi when they pass you on the street or hold the door open for you instead of slamming it in your face like you weren't behind them going into the store!

Where were you at...somewhere like Jamestown or near there?

Nice to see I am not the only one that has seen that difference. people here think I am kidding when I explain how it is up there (I grew up in the same general area of NY as you...about 55 miles south east of buffalo.)

And Kyle...that parish you are refering to....that wouldn't be my parish would it?

Yes, they can do all of that and they usually add in snowmobiling and skiing.

However, what they can't do with any kind of sanity is drive around with the top down on a convertible nov-may with only a few days that might breach 60 if they are lucky due to this "global warming". They also can't enjoy their collectible cars year round unless they want them to rust out in a year. They also must rely on us "southern rednecks" and the "california flamers" when they want to get a quality classic car to start restoring...hence the reason so many car adds say "southern car" or "california car".

OMG...I can't believe anyone even knows where Jamestown is! Yes, I actually grew up in the town of Busti, lived in Celoron for awhile, then moved down here to Rock Hill.....best thing I ever did.

I was in a po-dunk town called Perry near Batavia/Geneseo and right outside Letchworth State Park. And the best thing I ever did was move south too. Now, it's drive the car year round. No storing it for 6-7 months of the year. Top down and loving it in January. Can't go wrong there.

Just FYI, Rock Hill is ~ 30 miles south of Charlotte NC, and there is also
a 6 Flags park on the NC/SC line, called CaroWinds. Lots of racer-stuff in
that area. Several dyno's too

Yeah, that's really stupid, cuz I've found that minorities in general will readily
accept you if you treat them decently. In Rock Hill, there are lots of hispanics
and when I was caring enough about good communication to learn spanish, I
found them to be very accepting people. It's also much easier to learn when you
are immersed in it like I was.

"People don't care what you know, until they know that you care"
Makes working with someone lots easier. I miss those folks down there, all but my old boss 2:

We like messing with you and yes people do make assumptions about Mexicans but they are all not negative. You will always hear Mexicans are hard worker. Mexicans are family oriented. Most are pleasant to deal with. What angers most people is the illegals are breaking the law and nothing is really being done until now.
