sometimes...

sometimes i get a little jealous of the handling of my family's little 97 3-series bmw. Dont get me wrong, i love my car... but i wish i had the money to make its handling atleast as good as the bmw.

Re: sometimes...

It doesnt take to much to really step up the handling.

Struts/Shocks
Lowering springs (with good rates)
Update bushings if worn or replace with Delrin or if on budget Polyurathane
Wheels/Tires for grip (and looks )
A couple braces here and there
Lower control arms for the rear

Re: sometimes...

$$$ is the problem. College costs big time and I want to avoid debt. Maybe someday though.

Yes it does.. That's what I'm like right now. Espically when an un-expected expense comes up.

Re: sometimes...

Mustangs can handle surprisingly well...just ask darkshadows or someone who does autocross...you just have to have the right mods.

Re: sometimes...

Well take it easy, do springs and something to adjust alignment that wont cost much and it will greatly help with handling AND looks. Then save up for rims/tires if you dont have any already (cant tell from sig or pic on avatar)
