At the risk of sounding like a geek

I got a badass comic book collection going

98Monte bought for 20 bucks a huge collection of old Spiderman comics which totalled up to 155 bucks. We started packaging all our comics this past week and we are already low on supplies.

We have a huge baseball card collection, but seriously.. look at the prices. I have a crap load of nice cards, but looking through the recent book everything might have.. IF I AM LUCKY... went up by 5 cents. Pathetic.

Then we checked our old comics, and all of them doubled in price or even tripled. You tell me what's worth collecting, baseball crappy cards or comics. Well, checking out these prices... a $12 comic compared to how many baseball cards to add up to $12? Come on.

Baseball cards were huge back when I was a kid in elementary school, so were the X-men, but comics weren't a huge deal to me.

Yeah, sounds geeky.. but collecting is something we all do. Either for pleasure or for the money. Car collecting anyone?

You dont have the right baseball cards then

I got a whole album of just Atl braves cards that if I sold I could probably afford a nice pre99 Cobra. Holds to much sentimental value for me though.

We have a huge collection of Nolan Ryan cards, and they are worth jack. Plus a bunch of rookie cards which are maybe if we are lucky worth .25
Oh yeah the thing about the comics that I got for $20 I bought those off a guy on eBay who was asking for Buy It Now $88. Some other guy was trying to out bid me, but just never beat my $20 mark. So I got the comics for $20 and i think the guy was really pissed because of it lol, his hand writing on the box just seems a bit mad looking. lol

maybe a baseball card/trading card collectors forum? You could try ebay but probably won't get as much as they are worth

I have a very handsome collection of Spiderman and Fantastioc Four comics.

Like well above 500 and probably more.

Re: At the risk of sounding like a geek

I also have a bunch of ball cards, but are mostly worthless comparitively.

You also have to remember that the cost of a pack of cards was like .75 or so and a book was about 1.99. So it's only natural that the books will return more, but by comparison of original cost, which goes up more?
