A business Id love to start...

I commonly think about business ideas that could really take off, and I think I've come up with the ultimate idea. Living in Lawrence I see the potential for a good bar that incorporates fun, music, and drinking. Only thing is, theres 94 bars in a city of 80k people (105k during school season) but I think I could KILL with what Im about to tell you all.

First, theres absolutely no putt-putt courses in Lawrence whatsoever. Not only could that cater to the rest of Lawrence, but college kids need other things to do around here than just go to bars every single night, and if going to bars is what people like to do... I figure incorporate a bar into a putt-putt golf course. How you might ask? This is how:

Being that we have 4 seasons here, putt-putt isnt really an all year deal so there's obviously going to be a slow season thats the majority of the year with high season being between March-October when it's warm enough to take on the elements. What I would do is have a building built but have the course outside. Id make the building look sort of rustic and western themed and would extend that them into the putt-putt course, so there's like horses, cowboys, guns, etc that would be the flare inside the building. Id have the bar only serve 3.2% beer, so that would only allow this place to be open until midnight (or serve beer till midnight). With the building, Id want it open aired in the summer months somehow and would have ceiling fans and a few tables/chairs in there as well. Im thinking Id probably do "bar food" until like 10PM or so, but that brings more complications with health codes and all that crap. Anyway, there would be a bar and then outside there would be the golf course (hopefully 18 holes or more) and I would have waitresses that would walk around the course and take beer orders so people never have to golf with empty cups Id have to make the cups be some sort of material that isnt breakable so I wouldnt have glass all over the course from people dropping glasses, but yeah... id figure that out later.

So basically there is how Id cater to the "college crowd"... but theres still little kids and families that would want to play without being around a bunch of drunk hooligans, so Id family times up until like 6PM or so where they could come and play without having to worry about drunken idiots runnin around their children.

Thats as far as Im at now, obviously the key to something like this would be location... which shouldnt be a problem but it would require purchasing land and all that. I dont know what id do in the winter time... maybe just keep it open for fools that wanna come play lol.
If you're still reading... thanks. I know i just wrote a novel, but what do you guys think? For you college students, would that be something youd enjoy? I know id love it... and I know families love putt-putt as well. Any input or ideas, criticism etc.

Re: A business Id love to start...

meh needs more details but the rough idea seems pretty solid, i too live in a college town where all kids can do is go to bars/clubbin in nearby Grand Rapids, a person i know was going to open a putt putt place but it fell through, i still think it would work

Metal buildings aren't as expensive as you think...but whatever lol. Outdoor is more fun, but the added year round business might be worth the indoors.
That and with the indoor you can freak the drunks out at night by doing glow in the dark putt putt.

well, 3.2 is measured by weight where everything else is measured by volume... so in reality its like 4.0% by volume which is only like .5% less than a regular light beer. The reason Id do that is because you dont need a liquor license to sell it which would be ideal.
