No if your computer is freezing it isnt your mouse. Its 1) Windows 2) Something hardware related inside your computer.

If your computer is beeping something else is going on. Just throw another mouse on there and see if it fixes it. If it doesnt 1) Your ps/2 port is ****ed up, try a USB mouse. 2) Get a new computer

Re: Mouse keeps on freezing (computer help)

Buy a new mouse or right click on my computer click on properties click the hardware tab click on device manager click the mice and other pointing devices doulbe click the Hid compliant mouse or somrthing like that and trouble shoot it
But it really sounds like you just need a new mouse

Re: Mouse keeps on freezing (computer help)

I second the dead/dying PS/2 connection theory. Had it happen to me. Your options are a new motherboard or a new mouse (obviously the mouse is a lot less work)

Re: Mouse keeps on freezing (computer help)

Re-install your drivers.

If that doesn't work, I'd be willing to be that the cord for the mouse has a short. I will bet three cheesy poofs and a glass of lemonade.
