New Fireplace

So my mother has been wanting a new fireplace and has been talking about it a lot. So I decided to send her and my Dad out for a few weeks with family in Arizona and built her a new fireplace. I just finished and haven't painted anything yet but tell me what y'all think.

P.S. Yeah I had a little help.

Nice. I like the way it looks unpainted to be honest.

Re: New Fireplace

OK so I just painted the room and not the pillars or mantel. Looks pretty darn good for a eighteen year old. The wall behind is like a redish brown and the walls to the left and right are another brown color

That sounds fine, there is a 70s Torino up in Wisconsin I want to look at anyway.

Hell maybe I should scrap my plans to work for Ford and become a carpenter like many of my uncles.

I don't know, seems like Ford would be the more secure line of work right now...seems like the trades are still struggling in most areas.

Re: New Fireplace

Well my parents came back when I was at work and well lets just say I thought they were going to kill me. They were siting outside waiting for me with this weired look. Well to make along story short they were happy, my Mom was so happy she cried. So I must of done something right.

But if anyone is interested in pictures of the build I could post them.
