Superman Returns

Just got back from Superman Returns.

It wasn't too bad. I give it 2 to 2 1/2 pizza slices out of 3. There were a few things they could have done like show more of his power and just had him do crazy powerful stuff, but they kind of tried to take the still humanish approach without being...er...humanish....yeah.

Also, there was one underlying theme from about halfway through the movie to the end that I DID NOT LIKE AT ALL!! It tarnishes to whole idealistic idea of Superman being a perfect shining flawless example. You will know it when you see/hear it.

I would probably see it again with some poon as it would be a pretty good movie to bring poon along with, but if you're going with buddies, try to bum a ticket, or bribe the carrots at the shoe shine station.

Re: Superman Returns

Oh, and I got some random girl's number. She drives an Eclipse and that is all the evidence I need to prove that she was hot because only hot girls drive the newer Eclipses.

Re: Superman Returns

Saw it over the weekend.

Thought it was OK at best. Seemed like a set-up for the franchise. Too much retelling of the stories we know. Thought it could have been much much better. Why not take a fresh look at the story like in Batman Begins or something??

Also thought the storyline you spoke of was kinda weak. It does open up more possibilities for future movies though. And if you are gonna go with that storyline (trying to be vague for those that havent seen it yet) why not explore it more? There was what, the one big scene? If you're gonna go for it, GO all the way...??

Anyway, good movie, really good effects. Will prob watch it again on DVD.

SPOILER ALERT BELOW!!!

Highlight to read it.

Supes and Lois have a illegitamit kid. He ends up with some powers but appraently is not affected by Kryptonite. Supes then ran away to space to "find Krypton" but I think he just didn't want to pay child support.
