What to do about scammers?

I was victimized by a guy on LS1Tech.com. He advertised a full set of four WS6 wheels and I decided to buy them. I sent him the money. After a month of bull****, I eventually got him to send me something. Unfortunately, it was only two wheels. I haven't really had any communication with the guy since.

After my wheel debacle, I've been contacted by two other people who have fallen victim to his scams. What are our legal options? I filed a complaint with the ICCC (Internet Crime Comlaint Center), but that's about it. How do I get the authorities involved and which ones to I need to get ahold of?

really, i think your S.O.L. look at all the people here involved with the decklid deal. They are practically *excuse my french*, ****ed.
Who to contact... not sure. think of the scammers on ebay, because of paypal you can get your money back... but other than that your pretty much screwed over.

Re: What to do about scammers?

did you pay with a CC or paypal? If you payed with a credit card you can dispute the charges. They will refund your money even if they dont get it back from him. Making him pay probably means more than getting your money back im sure... as far as that goes... Just have to dig and dig and dig and get him to pay you. Do you have evidence saved on your cpu of the deal via emails etc etc that you can use to contact his local police department and get them to go have a chat with him.

You just have to keep working at it to make sure you make his life hell.
