| My typical conversation with a GT owner...
Well as some of you may know, I work at a parts store and thusly have a lot of exposure to car enthusiasts, even Mustang owners. They all come in and notice the car out in the parking lot and asks who owns it. I say myself, because, well, it is mine.
What follows is a coversation that has transpired at least 5 times that I can remember.
They say, "Ah, sweet GT".
I respond, "Thanks, but it's not a GT, it's a 6".
They say (most of the time), "Oh, ok. It still looks good though".
Me, "Thanks".
They say, "Do you ever wish it was faster? I mean, honestly they are pretty slow".
Me, "Stock, yeah they are slow".
Them, "What have you got done to it?"
Me, "Turbocharger."
Them, "Really, I bet that puts you a lot closer to a GT. Have you gotten any numbers yet?"
Me, "It dyno'd at 330 to the wheels".
Them "......oh..that's pretty good... Yeah, I'm going to be dropping in a "charger" here pretty soon".
Me, "Super or turbo?"
Them, "Oh supercharger" (Because everyone knows the word "Super" is better)
Me, "What size pulley?"
Them, "Oh a big one, I want to make a lot of power".>I chuckle a bit.
Me, "How many psi?"
Them, "I haven't decided yet"
Me, "What brand are you thinking of?"
Them, "Oh, I'm going to get the best?"
I just chuckle a bit and let them go on their way, but today I saw one of them on the road and we got stopped side by side at a light. We looked at each other and he said, AND I QUOTE, "I'm not even going to try, I'll just sit here and roast my tires if I do". He is the typical GT owner that has exhaust and window tint so he thinks he is unbeatable by anything of a smaller displacement. And he knows what's in my car and the numbers I've made. I said "Sure you will".
To all of you GT owners, I know we have some cool ones on this site so this is not directed to you. But to those of you who are ******s about it, grow some balls, then you wont have to let your car try to do the talking for you.

I like talking to GT and V8 (non-Ford) owners too, for I have built/designed
some pretty hot V6 stuff Now I went to a Mustang club cruise-in here and
all the hardcores had to check Tony's V6, and they were all impressed.
Mostly older folks who know what a good builder can do.

Yeah, older folks are cool with it. They don't feel the need to play "Who's balls are bigger".

most V8 guys are pricks in general. alot of them dont realize that in todays world, displacement amounts to just about jack **** unless youre comparing penile size.
dont worry, you V6 guys get it from GT guys, us GT guys get it from the 03/04 Cobra guys. its all relative.
