Re: Possibilities.........

insurance is not as bad as they base some of it off of how many get wrecked/stolen every year. There are not as many so that helps. I was shocked my insurance barly went up from an 01 v6 to an 03 cobra. I didnt have anything on my record though.

Quote:
Car was crap**** fast. holy mother of god. ive been in 450hp dsm's and they had nothing on the cobra. 2nd gear almost got out from under me. 1st was pretty much useless at wot, had to just barely half it to get moving in a manner other than stationary wheelspin, and that was with nitto 555r's.
welcome to the world of torque, enjoy your stay.

I dont know how fast you went but when you push it to 6000+ rpm it really starts to pull fyi. Especially in 3rd gear.

The true definition of ricers (Nothing but show, coffee cans, 0-60 in a week... driving smack talkers) did when I took them for spirited runs through just first and second. Once you feel real torque, it makes it hard to go back.

You will enjoy it once you get a chance to do it....if you do in fact drive away in this car, be sure to let her stretch her legs out a little in 3rd and 4th...even if it means finding a 1/4 mile track somewhere. It feels great.

Re: Possibilities.........

spectorv i know that the t-56 is a different 3rd gear, but i have driven an 03 cobra and 3rd is rowdy, but 3rd with my ****ty *** t-45 is still nice(will be much nicer once i get my rear end built up, 4.10's,31spline axles, new auburn posi, and diff cover)

Re: Possibilities.........

Mother of God.

Tax and Registration on a 22,000$ car = 1,800$.

so yeah, unless the guy writes down on the bill of sale that the car was sold for like 5 grand, or unless my bank can cut a second check for 2k so i can register the ****ing thing and add that on top of the 22k loan, or unless i still buy the car and just wait for like 2 months to register it, things once again arent looking too good.

on the upside, the entire sub system has been removed from the GT, and the mach rear speaker housing and amps have been reinstalled. w00t for saving stock stuff.

Re: Possibilities.........

Beggars cant be choosers. Though Redfire is a badass color IMO, i always liked Specs and Smurfins cobras.

Re: Possibilities.........

Once i got up close on an 03/04 cobra in redfire I liked it. I wouldnt really want the color on a GT. It is something about the cobra that sets it off, has a classic feel to it... which is also added to by the black 'cloth' top.

Re: Possibilities.........

dont know. theres no way in hell i could spend 1800 in registration fees, id have to max everything out i have and im not going to do that just for a car. if the guy is cool about putting a "lesser" amount on the bill of sale which will bring the taxeable value down then well do that, but im not sure what my bank will say when they see a smaller value on the bill of sale(if they even have to see the bill of sale), so its up in the air.
