Retirement Planning

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan.

Re: Retirement Planning

my frat recycles cans for kids with cancer. we also go canning (stand on street corners with cans) and door to door. we rose alittle less than $300,000 last year.. the entire campus rose 3.3 million total. not sure how much was cans but im sure it helped haha

Not up north in NY and PA...and some other states...they are $ .05 per can.

its called the bottle bill, iowa has it too... minnesota its .10 per can. The catch is, you pay the deposit when you purchase them, so its really just a way to keep people from litering all over. Incentive for people to take them back is all it is... and a way for the bums to make money.
