If you knew then what you know now...

How many people on here can think back to what it was like to be 15-18~ or so and are now amazed at how retarded or stupid you were or how stupid some of your thoughts and ideas were back then. If you are 15-18~ then you will realize soon how stupid you are now. You may not realize it at the current moment but... you will.

Examples, thoughts, wise words for the retards in this range?

Re: If you knew then what you know now...

I would have changed a lot. Highschool would have been way more different. Seriously, if I could go back.. I would have been on the football team and Kirsten Dunst would have been my girl friend.

Examples, for some reason I was always depressed throughout Highschool. I don't know why, but I just was. I hated Highschool, there wasn't a day that I didn't.

I would have cut the **** and just started doing things for myself, rather than looking out for people.

I knew everything when I was in High School. So the question should be, if I knew now what I did then...

Re: If you knew then what you know now...

Most everyone is retarded in Highschool I WAS. Damn the things I did to make my life shear chaos and not listening to my Parents would have saved me from financial loss, time in jail, mental anguish, Loss of friends, physical pain and general grief.

But no I had to do it my way and really did not get my **** together till I was in my late 20's

If I knew then what I know, I would have started doing drugs at a much younger age.

I was a pretty crazy little jit. I thought I was some kind of tough guy, and I was always high. :smoke: Still I don't regret doing the stuff I did when I was that age, its just part of being a teenager.

Re: If you knew then what you know now...

Lol, I almost made this identical thread 2 days ago.

I have been thinking the same thing. It is funny to think about some of the things you thought and your aspect on life and others, especially parents. Parents are not as stupid as we all once thought they were.

My Dad would always say, "When you have kids of your own, you will do the exact same thing!". I would always roll my eyes and think "I will NEVER be like that". But in his Birthday card this year, I signed it saying, I finally understood all those times he said that and realize that yes, I will do the exact same things 90% of the time that he did.

Then you look at some of the things you did to impress other people or fit in. I wasn't as big on that as a lot of others but I did still waste some time/money on junk like that. I did grow out of that part very quickly though.

Now I see how teenagers (not all) are and I think, "Man how retarded ", and then I remember, how similar I was at that age. It's weird, those that aren't to this point probably think I am being an *** and that you are acting just as normal as everyone else, but you will see one day like Spec said.

It just comes with life and more mistakes than successes. I am sure I will look back one day at the age I'm at now, and I will still think, "Man I was stupid then too!", lol.

Re: If you knew then what you know now...

how bout 1,400$ on exterior parts, another 2,500$ in paint, and the fact that a monkey with a rattlecan could have created a smoother finish. as ****ty as the clearcoat chipped black that came with the car was, it was almost 100% better than the hackjob they sprayed on. to the point where it totally ruined the whole point of the car for me(Thus the cobra purchase). then again, everyone else thinks im just crazy and expect too much, all i know is i only talk bad about someone elses work when i know that without a shadow of a doubt, i can do better, and yeah, give me a spray booth and paint, and 2 days and ida bamboozled this whole shop.

if i only knew then what i know now. then again, i might not have a Redfire Cobra sitting in my garage, waiting for the registration to finalize so insurance can be put on it. its so badass to pay 400$ a month on a car you cant drive yet, a car so awesome the thought of the memories that will follow are enough to make up for the fact it hasnt moved since the day after i bought it. sometimes i just wander into the garage and stare at it for hours, my dad might ask what im doing, and i tell him im "Cleaning Up" but im really just moving a wrench from one side of the bench to the other to cover up the fact im doing nothing but staring at a awesome piece of machinery.
