Suggestions needed for you boozers

I recently bought a bartender's starter kit. Has all the tools to make drinks and such, but it didn't come with a shaker. I went and bought a pretty nice one from Target, but after trying to make a drink it started to leak EVERYWHERE. ****ing piece of ****, I knew I shouldn't have bought anything from Target.

Any recommendations as to where I might be able get a nice FUNCTIONAL shaker? I just want something that won't leak and looks pretty nice.

I'm makin Mojitos. Damn delicious.

Boozers don't use shakers. You want to look for the "social drinker" types. I kinda doubt you'll find any on here.

Where there is where you are wrong CHROME DOME!!!! Shakers are only a necessary for relatively few drinks such as Martinee's. Most mixing can be done by stirring.

If I want a shaken drink, I pick up the foam cup and grasp it firmly. I then proceed to shake said cup back and forth. Tada. Shaken, not stirred.

Re: Suggestions needed for you boozers

I got one from Bed Bath and Beyond today, it was cheaper and nicer looking than the one from Target and it works PERFECTLY. I'm very happy with this, but I think I still want to add on. I'd like to be able to make and mix drinks

Re: Suggestions needed for you boozers

The only mixed drinks that I've been drinking lately is 1800 and Pineapple/Orange Juice. Take one of the big *** shotglasset, fill it all up with 1800, pour it in a shaker glass, throw a few cubes of ice in it, and fill the rest with the juice. It's the jam.

Edit (the whole reason for the story): the only mixing I do is pouring the booze, putting cubes on it, pouring juice on that, and then tapping the floating cubes with my finger.

The best part about it is, if you do drink enough to yak...then just have another shot and you will get rid of any bad breath you may have had.
