Ricers. Expensive to insure:

1. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
2. Mercedes CL-Class
3. Dodge SRT-4
4. Subaru Impreza WRX
5. Jaguar XK (convertible)
6. Lexus IS 300
7. Honda S2000
8. Acura RSX
9. Nissan 350Z
10. Jaguar XJ

This is the top ten most expensive cars to insure from 2002 to 2004. Glad to see that the f-body and the Mustang missed the list...

Re: Ricers. Expensive to insure:

Isn't that funny? One of the friends of mine who has an Evo wants to trade it in and get a new M3. I was telling him insurance would probably kill him, but he told me he'd be paying LESS for insurance than what he's paying now on his Evo. Messed up eh?

yeah, if you go with the grand touring.........it'll run you like 40

base is 26ish..............same motor, tranny, only difference is wheels, brakes, and other various interior bells and whistles...........oh, and i think a more tweaked suspension on the track and touring models

they all have 300hp, no matter which one and either 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual

They're really not all that fast, either. (not in the straight line, at least, not enough for me)

The automatics are like 280hp, not 300.

Those cars with all the suspension upgrades are amazing at an autocross course. They hardly even squeel the tires under hard braking. If theres one thing nissan got right with that car, its the suspension

it was pretty sweet riding in one a few months back. they salesman was hanging curves rated at 25-30 at like 75..........never drifted, squealed, and stuck to the road like glue

werd.

its #1 cause its affordable for most kids who live at home making minumum wage, its easily modified($2k and under will yeild low 12's with the right driver), and with that persona its crashed more cause (speed x inexperience) / lack of responsibility (tree) =bad.

though i couldnt see myself paying 450 a month for a car whos exterior i hate, whos interior made me clausterphobic, and even after 2k in mods still be spanked by a terminator on the freeway and track.

Re: Ricers. Expensive to insure:

I know someone who has a SRT-4, the insurance company classifies it as just a regular Neon. But the insurance is still fairly expensive because the little rattletraps don't do well in wrecks.

yup, my mom pays the same for her SX neon as my buddies SRT4 does. both though are fairly high, because i guess theyre one of the most stolen vehicles, especially a 4dr neon with the spoiler :dunno:
