dam, even my parents will not "be an aid in me killing myself". i asked for some 3.90" gears for my birthday, i mean ****, theyre 140$, moms response was "Why, so you can kill yourself?". then i had to explain to her how gears work, and that id actually be screwing myself over in terms of top speed wise. but they refuse to buy any performance oriented parts for my car. last thing was the 3000rpm stall converter on the last tranny rebuild for the Tbird.

dude my mom like seriously rocks like hands down. my mom prefers i be into cars (why i went to school for doing up cars) she knows it my hobby that i love. she also knows i did some good ol street racing well i didnt have much choice damn newspapers had a shot of my car at the "track"

Hell she even told me when i did get it installed that she wants to see how it works and all. So off we went to a straight away and laid down that 100 shot had her very intrigued on it all.

she did at least tell me to be careful though

again my mom rocks

Re: RIP Mustang

yeah my parents are glad im gearing more towards going to the track more often rather than doing stupid **** on the road. they know now with the cobra that i am afraid to go WOT much past the end of 2nd cause doing so is basically breaking almost every speed law and is like insta-impound.

they want to go one night when i go to the track, though im sure once my mom sees me doing triple digits shes gonna freak.

Re: RIP Mustang

yea well, that night when all this **** happens:

Ring ring ring, mom, yea my car exploded, tell dad to come out here. are you ok? yes..... well whatever you do you better make damn sure your not upgrading your engine. mom im not even thinking about that... all im worried about is my car and the fact that it is pooring oil like a *****. well im just makin sure you know that ur not upgradin engine size to a v8 or whatever.

next morning sun rises

hey dad, lets look on the internet at some crate engines. ok, lets see the price range. oh dad, look at this one, its a 4.2l v6.. v6? yea dad, 4.2 is a v6 for a mustang. mama just won't know that its an "upgrade". all she has to know is that its a v6... right? well... i dunno but dad look... its forged internals so the block will be stronger so this won't happen again (ohhhhh the kicker) well i guess your right, how much is that one? only 2650, dad. okay, well.... oh also dad, cody called me and told me he will look at prices and let me know how much total. he also said he has great experience dealin with engine swaps for v6s. oh really? yea dad, we'll go see him tomorrow (today), sound good? ok.

so yea, thats how i have to work that bull****.

Re: RIP Mustang

you should try checking around and dont assume the insurance you have is the best. When I was 16 I paid like 80 a month for full coverage.. unless you have massive amounts of tickets thats a total rip off.

The problem is, he is on his parent's insurance and they seem to have the most expensive they can find and seem content with it.

It's his money and they have proven they have no ability to think (Firestone being a good place, paying through the *** for insurance, and now this)...since it is not your money, there isn't much you can do about it. If he wants to put a rebuilt 3.8 in there, that is what you will get. Then, when it blows again, because I bet he is looking at that place you told cody, you can say "I told your *** to do it right the first time."

d00d so is mine.

its not set in stone, but the insurance lady said since this is our 5th vehicle in a 4 person family, its an auxilary car, and since it probably wont get driven much, isnt as high. she said its gonna be lower than what i pay a month for the GT(90$), with a 500$ deductible though, but 30/50/30 coverage(or maybe it was 25/50/25?something like that).

but yeah i ****ing hate insurance companies. if i rule the world, they are all dead, im gonna go hitler on them. them, and spammers.

id say let him throw a rebuilt 3.8L in there, but make sure its forged, so you can still have alot of headroom internal wise come down the road, itll be a base thats already covered.
