take apart the door, if you remove the door panel you can see how everything is put together.

I havent taken a mustang door apart BUT most doors have the handle and cylinder all as one and usually thats held on by a clip and or 2 10 mm bolts

hmmm ok i'll try and look, i popped the door panel off on sunday, but then i started to rain so i had to head inside. It's damn tough to access that area, there's not a hole in the door right by the lock/ handle so you have to reach up through the door.

Anyone else ever done this before?

sadly my mustang is up in NH and I'm in Boston, I'm headed back up this weekend. I'm sure I can figure it out, I was just hoping there might be a "how to" somewhere to use as a guide.

doors are self explainatory (sp?) really. just make sure window is up and panel is off have a flash light and look at it. Like i said most usually come off as an assembly with handle. usually all u have to do is push away the plastic clips that hold the metal hangers and then either a clip is around the clyinder itself (which is usually the *****) and then 2 10 mm bolts and she should come right out
