Where could he do this test? In that populated area, I wonder where there would be enough room for that.

Re: North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

he doesnt have to test out a huge nuke, they can make relatively small nuclear devices and later on just multiply the ingredients.

alot of the seismic readings dont show any evidence of nuclear activity, which either means 1) it did not occur and it a scare tactic, or 2) it was so small it cant be picked up.

im thinking 1 myself. id like to believe that if a nuclear blast occured anywhere around the world, wed know about it first. im sure we have satellites and reconnisance missions high above them on a continuous basis.

Re: North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

I'm sure too, and I wonder what will happen now if they did do that. I have a good feeling that nothing will happen because of this. In all honesty, I think we should let them see what a nuclear test looks like over their captial.

This is the chinese fault. This is the chinese problem. They created them they can deal with it. What needs to happen is for china to turn the lights out in North Korea and plunge them into chaos then move the nearly 1,000,000 troops into the country and take care of this menace

It's called fear by manipulation. If you manipulate anyone into thinking that you are stronger, or in this case have something stronger, than them, you have control over them. They keep smaller countries at bay and "peaceful" with the promise of all out devastation. Makes sense to me in theory. But what happens when that theory is put to the test.

I agree. When these little piss ant countries start threatening, we pretend like it is nothing and then target multiple survaillence satellites and targetting satellites in their general direction. :rockets:

Re: North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

I heard rictor (sp) scale of 4.2 was achieved. Also, as far as a "smaller" nuclear devise, they still have to be large enough to reach critical mass, otherwise the bomb won't go.

Re: North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

I heard Australia and South Korea picked up on something on the rictor scale as well.

China should do something before it becomes World War against SK and a pissy little ronery man.

if NK does something, the rest of the world + the UN better head up the war and not wait for the US to do everything like usual

Re: North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

:hmm: Kim Jung needs to be removed from power, along with Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, and Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I hate to sound like someone who thinks we need to go war with everyone we disagree with, but these people care to much about staying in power and are working against our countries best interest.

Re: North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

From the point of view of a despot or dictator, nuclear weapons make complete sense. It's alot harder for people to want to go to war against you when you can detonate a several kiloton (or more) weapon on top of a troop buildup point or carrier group. It's doesn't give them a free hand, but they can get away with alot more.

Re: North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

all it does is help "Level Up" your country into a new teir of politics. the problem is, this teir is crowded enough as it is.

if anyone but the US were to use a nuclear device against another country, said country would be obliterated by the US.
