she is our 2nd lab. the first one died a few weeks ago of chronic kidney disease. it was a pretty horrible experience because labs are honestly the best, most loving dogs a person could own. the house seemed empty so my parents decided to get another one.
during the day she is kept inside the house while my parents work (until my sister comes home from high school) but just like the dog before her will be taken on daily walks and weekly hikes. my parents are honestly great pet owners. they shower their pets with attention and affection.. possibly more than they did for me
. for the last several years of my life my family has been goin to deep creek (a huge lake) for vacation so we can take the dog with us. skye used to love the water and im assuming so will kona. if you ever want to see the happiest thing on the face of the planet is to take a lab to a huge lake. they go nuts.
i personally only seen her once so far (and im looking forward to thanksgiving break). shes a ball of fire and much more hyper than skye (the previous dog) but shes still not house trained yet. im pretty excited about it, but it kinda sucks that im at college and she won't know me as well as skye did.
