Re: Fidel Castro has Terminal Cancer

It might get interesting in Cuba for awhile, unfortunately he already appointed his brother into power if anything happened to him.

My mom and her side of the family is from Cuba, they won't go back until Castro and the like die. They left everything to come to this country (LEGALLY might I add) and they'd like to go back to see their old home and relatives.

Who's to say what will happen. His brother has to tote the line while Fidel is alive or another successor would be named. We wont know until Fidel is part of the dearly departed. With all the problems facing Cuba since the collapse of the Soviet Union. They are in desperate American Dollars who spend more in vacation dollars in the Carribean than all other nations put together. Cuba use to be the Jewel of the Carribean. Now it is mostly a poverty dump.

maybe his brother is playing the good commie so Fidel will think that he will continue to do the same after he takes power. maybe he will realize how much money his country is losing and reform the government. maybe that glass of tea i had for lunch started with tea and ended with quila. :zim:

all i know is that i want the damn cigars legalized again.

I've heard that if the cigars become legal, the quality of the smokes will go down because of the demand.

Re: Fidel Castro has Terminal Cancer

very true. in mass production, quality does take a hit. but even a poorly made cuban has got to be better than a white owl or phillie.

That is a load of WOO HAA. The best Cigars are not made in Cuba anyway. A few years ago a severe blight killed off much of the Tobacco crop. Cuba had to get more cubana seed from the Dominican Repubic. But the way almost all the great Tobacco houses moved from cuba and are in the Dominican Republic. I have been smoking Cigars for over 20 years.
