Florida's Coach Urban Meyer comments on "Style Points"
This is a great answer to the BCS and their "Style Points" they award for winning big:
Florida, fourth in the last Bowl Championship Series standings, certainly didn't get any "style points" with its latest win.
"Here's our style: You got at Tennessee, you've got Kentucky, you've got Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Auburn and at Tallahassee," Meyer said, recalling much of Florida's schedule. "So much for style. You want to put that one against anyone in the country, let's go ahead and go.
Barring a miracle, Florida won't get to play for the national championship this season, even if the No. 4 Gators beat No. 8 Arkansas in Saturday night's SEC championship game in the Georgia Dome.
Top-ranked Ohio State and No. 2 Southern California are probably headed to the Jan. 8 BCS title game in Glendale, Ariz., to play for college football's biggest prize. Even if the unimaginable happens in Los Angeles on Saturday night (unranked UCLA upsets the rival Trojans), the Gators still won't get a seat at the championship table. A Bruins victory would probably only ensure a rematch between the Buckeyes and No. 3 Michigan in the Arizona desert.
