How to ship stock H-Pipe

Ok, I have sold my H-Pipe. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best and cheapest way to ship it to florida? I need to talk to UPS and/or fed ex directly to see what the price would be, but based on their online quote I am looking at about $150 to ship it 2: . I wouldn't think it would be more than $50-$75.

Cut it in half and ship it that way. Mine came in a couple of pieces.

It's going to be a *****. I know Summit usually ships their H-pipes by freight.

Mine is a complete H-Pipe...one solid piece since ford only believes in modular engines and not modular exhausts.

Oh, and heavy as hell...probably something like 50 lbs or so.

Re: How to ship stock H-Pipe

go to DHL, from my experience they are ALOT cheaper than UPS and FedEx. They charge about $40-50 a box to ship a wheel and tire but DHL was only $10 a box.

Re: How to ship stock H-Pipe

if you can get it cut down and have the box 50lbs~ or less then you should be able to ship it UPS for around 20 bucks

I would let the person I sold it to know that you were going to cut it in half and then ship it greyhound bus for less than half freight or other carrier.

Re: How to ship stock H-Pipe

After getting accurate measurements, it looks like shipping will run about $50 unboxed for UPS and FedEx. I think I am going to go with DHL as it should only run about $25.

Now, if I could just find some H-Pipe flanges...a guy bought mine, and then about an hour later someone wanted the entire H-Pipe...luckily I didn't cut them off yet...but now the other dude needs flanges. lol
