Had to Close Shop

Ok I have been kinda dead on here lately and there is a reason my partner backout on me so I have been working odd jobs and just getting back into working on customers vehicles. It sucks but folks cant expect instant growth overnight and I did walk away from a decent job in managment for a quick lube so what did I learn my golden rule becafeful who your partners with. Also in a tragic turn of result I have now become prone to injury started Sunday night about 30 minutes from the ball drop twisted my ankle hard still sore a heck today and also messed up my back working for a moving company full of drug addicts when I had a washer and drier slamed into me and I hit a wall, goes back to that golden rule.Well I wont give up on my dreams or easily be disuaded I will or have started back outta my garage and plan on putting a shop up here on the mountain I'm about 3 miles from Hwy 111 so I can build a decent enought shop to have my dreams of lifts, dynos and be near my home so as all things worth doing it will take time.

perserverance is the key. Hershey (can't rememberhis first name) went into bankrupcy 4 times before he hit it big. George Eastman (Eastman Kodak Company) was considered by most to be a complete failure before he started to click a camera. if you believe in yourself enough, no one can stop you from your dreams.

Re: Had to Close Shop

i so feel you on this that you have no clue minus that my partner backed up on me before we even started cause some place offered more money and you know what happens hes out sittin out of a job now. me i aimed low i do small jobs i know i can do outside my house from body work to stereo installs honestly from him doing that saved me alot of money ache. Its a good thing your gonna go back to small trust me when i say its a smart business move. im currently in the process of just saving so i can upgrade to a garage that can at least fit 2 cars gotta smart small and just work your way up.

I wish you luck man seriously even when life gives you **** at some point that **** will become the gold that you have thrived for :approve:

Re: Had to Close Shop

Well I am going for what your planning on doing right my my garage at the house has my mustang and a customers broncos in it so I m full with one car,but thats ok by me.I m going to look at a job working building sump pumps tommorow so I can get some more cash flow in to build my wife and my self the house we both want on the land that has been given to us but the house will ahve a three car garage and a shop off the side I paln to make look like a barn to fit in the farm land around here I dont have nothing against metal building I just like something less industial on our land.Funny thing is my mother in law,who gave us the land, has been trying from the get go to build my shop up here which suits me since I want to stay on the mountain as much as posible,or so thats my plan. When life kicks you in the balls you can stand there and compose yourself for a return kick or you can cry on the ground my life hasnt been the easiest and I do get discuraged at times esspecially when money is tight and times are hard, like right now.I have been screwed over many times in the past and just dont lose sight of what I want in life and I have the best thing behind me a woman who understands and puts up with my hard butt at time and loves me with all her heart and for that I cant ever complain about here cause I feel the same.I wish you luck on getting back to your feet again and we both know someday we will get there heck we might even run across each other at a car show or racing even you never know but to all those who have lost something dont give up ever be like the frog choking the swan.
