So how about them Gators!

What now? Anyone want to talk up their precious Big 10? Maybe you guys should play real teams next year so you don't get embarrassed when you show up to the big game

34-14 Halftime.

That's what I told my Dad. Had they had LSU's defense out there they wouldn't even have points on the board.

I love this so much.

I don't like college, but damn I love seeing ohio getting smoked. This is 2 "greatest QB's in the game" being decimated by the SEC...first ND now Ohio. Man, I love it...all those dudes on SVTP talking smack about the SEC being nothing...lol...lovin it.

"I don't care what anyone says, that 51 days killed Ohio"...blah blah blah...man, that's all they are going to say now. Woulda, coulda, shoulda...51 days to get healthy, analyze film, prepare...STFU. Practice better...prep better...wake up from your dream of playing nobodies.

Re: So how about them Gators!

if you listened to what Urban Meyer did, he had them on a three week cycle. each week was a differrent way to get ready for game day. he kept them focused. Troy Smith was just focused on his double double from IN n Out burger.

Re: So how about them Gators!

you know, OSU is my third favorite team... but I semi-enjoyed watching them get waxed last night. Their fans are the cockiest sons of *****est you will ever see. I remember them coming into Kinnick this year and saying the most vulgar **** you could imagine. I was a big OSU fan until then... and at that point, Michigan became number 2. You guys can say how much OSU sucks, but I promise you, that was the worst they've played all year. I don't know why they sucked so badly, and I'm sure Florida's defense had a lot to do with it. Florida seemed to be clicking very well together, and OSU just seemed to suck for the first full half. The offense never got going. So yeah, I'm a lot surprised on what happened, but oh well. Congrats Florida.

But you guys shouldn't talk so much reverse smack either. Yes, OSU got smoked last night, but that in no way means they suck as a team, or were "over rated". OSU earned their #1 spot, and now, Florida will have it... because they earned it. I don't know if LSU would've done that to OSU. I think the Big Ten should take some lessons from this bowl season and change their strategy. Yeah, we've got "big, powerful" teams, but so does the rest of college football. Building a strategy on being "strong" isn't a smart idea when everyone has a weight room. Plus, those Florida guys dominated the line of scrimmage. Also, I think they should change their schedule so they don't have nearly 2 months between their last game and their bowl game. I'm not blaming that, just saying, that's ****ing dumb.

Everyone knows LSU is a better team than Florida this year, even the big smack talkers on SVTP admitted that. I believe that had LSU played them, it would have been at least as big of a blow out if not more.

Don't even start with the time. If you can't prepare for a game in 30-50 days, you can't prepare for it in 7. Florida had 30ish days off, yet no one is saying that they got sluggish in those 30 days. Why not? well, because they stayed on top of their game, had something to prove, were motivated to get ready, and came to play. Ohio, well, they probably figured they had this one wrapped up because the SEC sucks, and well, took it for granted. Florida did a weekly schedule of "game days" according to the coach. They prepped, watched film, came in and kicked ***. Ohio, who knows what they did....

I Can't wait to read everything over on SVTP when I get a chance...tehy kept saying Florida and the SEC sucks and it will all come out in the game. Well, it did come out...and well, Ohio blows and appears to be as overrated as ND.

There's a reason that OSU played the worst they did all season last night. It's called playing a good team. Maybe not the best team either, but a good team. In all reality, LSU probably had a better team this year overall. Unfortunately, the one bad game they really all year had happened to be against a good team (Florida). Their only other loss was a 7-3 game in the third game of the season against a very tough (i.e. the only team to beat Florida this year) Auburn.

Florida got pretty lucky this year. They had bad games too, but they were against teams that they were still able to overcome (South Carolina, Florida State, Georgia) mostly because they just weren't that good.

I just think that what happened this year proves that the SEC is without a doubt the strongest conference in the nation. The level of competition this year was just about unreal. Look at what happened...

Auburn beat LSU 7-3 in the first really big game of the season.
Then Arkansas started to pick up steam after barely beating Bama and beat Auburn. On the same week, Florida beat LSU.
But then... Auburn beats Florida.
Then, LSU and Florida both went on to beat Arkansas.

If that doesn't show you how competitive the conference was, then I don't know what will. Of course, Tennessee also had a pretty strong team. But they weren't able to beat any of the other big players in the conference.

UT really surprised me against Penn State. They really had a poor game. Even though, if they hadn't put the ball on the ground at the end of that Penn State game, they'd have beat them.

Arkansas really let me down, too.
