i wouldnt pay more than 5k for a fox in any shape. besides, that 8k would have to be in cash which is hard to do unless you have really good credit card limits for cash advances.

fox's are sweet but imo theyre not worth what their owners are asking for them, especially around here theyre sitting and rusting and a sign saying "for Sale" and you ask theyre like "Yeah, 6k firm" youre like "WTF are you smoking, it has no paint, a motor that doesnt run, and youre asking 6 for it?"

Re: its been fun

I'd have to go with Zim on this. I keep my eye out an mustangs all the time just to see how the prices are, and that is about what I have been seeing with similarly priced foxes around this area.

Re: its been fun

thanks because when I bought mine I could not find anything worth having under 6000 or it being halfway across the states. I paid too much for it but at the time it was what I wanted and I am still happy with it I just think I would like a 4 door truck better or should I say get more use out of it

Re: its been fun

I've seen people trying to sell their Fox GT's for $10,000+ if they are in nice shape. I don't now if people are actually buying non-Cobra Foxes for that much, and I don't really go around and price Foxes, but these are the kind of prices I've seen in places like Auto Trader and Ebay. Again I believe that most of these cars are in very good shape and I don't know if you'll be able to get that for your car, but I think you should be able to get the kind of price that Zim is talking about.

Re: its been fun

foxes consistantly get far more than they are worth simply because people pay it, simple as that. People around here want 6k for a ragged out rusting 200k mile fox body.. and they will get it sadly.

A fox is worth the buyer is willing to pay. Anyone buying a car that old would most likely be paying in cash anyway, as a bank isnt going to loan you money on a car thats over 15 years old, and if you take a cash advance out on a credit card for that much money you're just an idiot. A fox in good shape is worth a lot to a lot of people. Sure, you can find them for the 5k range, but more than likely its someone that has no idea what they're selling... and in the end they just missed out on an extra 4k bucks for their car.

Supply and demand. Pretty simple stuff really. Guess that's why it still doesn't make sense to some.

If it's 62k original miles and super clean, I could see 8k. I wouldn't pay it, but others might. It's a good starting point to ask anyway.

I hope you don't mean to a dealer, they won't give you crap for a fox. But if you are willing to wait, I am sure you can find somebody looking to get out of ORV's and into fast cars.
