Sold my stang to a guy that lives here near Baton Rouge. He's happy about it and I told him about the website and about some of the locals here.

But yea, I guess ya'll can tell what I purchased 8P

Re: Sold QQ

it'll be a project car... going to the dealership to pick up the intake, and am about to order headers. It'll be built up and turbo'd with a t3/t4 probably. Dunno...

Re: Sold QQ

and dont' get me wrong, mustang's are my favorite car and what not. but when I can get wholesale price on any after market product for the vehicle and what not, it helps on the mods.

my tC lopes more than kyles v6..... hahahaha

and plus, this car is a lot quicker than my mustang was and would be it flat hands down... tuned. my friends tC gave my mustang an *** kicking up and down bone stock, and its sad that this car has a more torquey-ish feel than my stang ever had.

Your mustang hung with
BJ = 280lbs
James = 180
Bowling Balls = 120lbs
2 12" in a box = 60 - 70 lbs
With a grang total of 640 extra weight

Without that all you would have seen was fainting tail lights

Re: Sold QQ

justin, thats you also with gears, shift kit and what not. i had the bowling equipment in my trunk to, just not the 2 extra people.

lol, i know i know stumpy.... ill have my tC paid off in about 1.5 years, but I'm planning on getting a old foxbody as a builder up car. Basically will start with a shell, and build it up with whatever. tC will be a daily driver but I want to get some of the mods on there up to a turbo.

Re: Sold QQ

BTW i still beat you with all that weight...It just took me a little longer to get it moving.... Do you really think that your mustang or your new lawn mower would hang with a stock 5.0

Edit:I didnt have 4.10s when i was in BR and raced you...I had 2.73 hwy gears
You also didnt have 8 bowling balls....

Here are the set ups of both cars
Mine at that time had - 2:73s, Flowmaster and Shift Kit with the above extra weight
His had i think exhaust and tune if i remember correct with max 160lbs extra weight
Rob step in if he has something im missing

Off the line i gained a little...all through first it stayed the same...he hit 2nd then i hit 2nd left him a little more....after that i kept pulling.

Re: Sold QQ

no i had 4 8P...
lawn mower or not, its still a nice vehicle. All im saying is that the vehicle is very torquey for being a 4 cyl. and has decent power for being a 4cyl.

lol i still get my 5.0 mstg and fast ford magazines and what not, as they are my favorite cars. I couldn't afford the gas in a 6 due to the driving ive been doing, so I dropped down to a 4 cyl. for the gas milage, but still keeping somewhat of a sporty-like car. I mean thats life, and I did whatever so I can keep my gas prices down, since they are supposed to be on the rise again.

Re: Sold QQ

yes and no, im paying for my gas now anyways. i could have gotten an 03 cobra but when we went to the dealership and they couldn't go down to the price I needed... i couldn't buy it, because that was prior to me finding out that my bank was not going to give me the interest rates of which the paper said they would. They wanted to give me a 18% interest, and im not sure if you would do that, but let me tell you... im not even thinking twice about paying 18% interest.

Scion gave me a 5% interest, and with my dad co-signing for me, I get all the credit and he does to, its not split up half and half.

If i spend as much money on my car with mods as you spend with you car and mods....I think you car would be a shiny silver... we would see how the cobra looks with the metal look
You car is still sexy though

Edit: I didnt paint my bumper and find because im reducing weight...

Re: Sold QQ

well man good luck saving money. I didnt sell my mustang when I needed a DD, I bought a 02 Explorer for $13,000 no co-sign with 7.2 apr. My Mustang is paid off, I paid the last payment last summer (by myself) and be4 that I boguht my vic (witch I wish I still had it was a bad *** car, but it had a "COP" was messed up and the engine never ran right after I had to drive into some water on the road) I paid $8000 for it, sold it for $9500 with 102,000 miles. If you just save your money, dont just jump on anything and if your worried about gas then learn how to drive with out using a lot of gas. I drive 200-600 miles a week to see my GF at her school, going to photoshots, and driving to my family farm. O yeah im 21, and i just now got a job makin $2 less after a layoff of 2 months. so im not rich, my parents do not pay for ANYTHING in my life. (they would if I need to but I dont want them to.)

(sorry for the rant, atleast im not bashin ur car )

good to hear man, but if your going to get a fox and build it, dont waist ur money on mods for that umm car thing in ur sig, just use it for what it is. a DD that will save u money on gas, insurance, and save the money that u would use for the "mods" to put for the mustang

Re: Sold QQ

I kinda like the tC, but not over a stang. FWD ftl. No matter how fast you "try" to make it, you will still be own.t by FWD. I would maybe, and i mean very small maybe, buy one if I wanted a cheap DD that gets good gas mileage, and looks halfway decent. But be honest, I doubt you will ever turbo it. You know how much will have to be done? After all that money spent and all that time, you still won't be making half the power you are thinking you will. I guarantee it. It is not a performance beast.

I love this quote on the specs of the tC

Quote:
...produce 161 hp @ 6,000 rpm and a hefty 162 lb.-ft. @ 4,000 rpm.

In addition to raw power,....

dude, you don't know how much ribbing you have coming...probably worse than what Kyle would get if had bought that F-Body.
