Illegal to talk and walk?

well, it looks like pretty soon it might be illegal to do anything but breeth and sit. Check this out:

Distracted Walkers Could Get Fined

Add another reason to sit, or stand still, in one place while talking on a cell phone or listening to music. State Senator Carl Kruger from Brooklyn proposed a law saying that distracted pedestrians could get fined $100. That means talking on a cell phone while crossing the street would be illegal.

The bill comes after two men in Kruger’s district were hit by cars while crossing and listening to mp3 players.

Kruger would also like to ban the use of Blackberries, PDA's and other electronic devices by pedestrians.

I get the thought process behind it, and its nobel to try to protect the stupid from themselves....but then the Darwin theory comes into play.....let the stupid eliminate themselves. There's be no need for a law. The smart people aren't the ones distracted enough to get hit by a car.

Next they'll ban listening to radios in cars and talking or thinking while driving or walking.
