It is WoW.. Counter Strike Source and WoW = the reason DZ has not dropped any new tracks or his album..

For ****s sake he has 2 songs, that are funny as **** if you play WoW and know whats what in the game, dissing a WoW guild that wouldnt accept him.. they did it for fun, but it's the funniest **** ever.

that is some good **** right there.

Trivium, Bullet for My Valentine, Atreyu, KSE, Shadows Fall, All that Remains, As I Lay Dying, Dragonforce and a ton others. Heard American Head Charge and Inhale Exhale today on hard attack on sirius that I like.

jumping to conclusions and labeling all metal as screaming and just a bunch of noise is just like saying all rap is about banging *****es and dubs.

Metal has a beat too. But it is a very complex beat/meledy. And it takes talent on to play the guitars like they do. Dont want any screaming, check out Dragonforce.
Imagine speed metal slammed into 80s glam rock...keyboardist and all

and you should see them play the solo in one of the live videos.

Then you have Trivium. Considered to be todays Metallica. Awesome band. Older stuff has the screaming, but also has the melody. All of it is good.
Here is A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation from the Ascendency album. bit older so there is screaming

here is The Anthem from The Crusade album, you can really here where they got the todays Metallica from

Bullet for my Valentine...some more good ****, not much screaming at all, pretty much all melody
this is one of my favorites, Hand of Blood

but here are their two current singles out
Cries in Vain

Tears Dont Fall

Here is an All That Remains song I like,
This Calling

Need to check out the song Six though by ATR...good song

And last one of my favorites from As I Lay Dying.
Confined

Metal is some good ****. And its not all, I want to kill someone, my momma dont love me, no point music. Again that is like stereotyping country saying every song is about my woman is gone, truck is broke, and dog died. 80% of country music isnt.

The worst type of music about my girl left me cause I am a moron, cheated, etc is R&B which has strong ties with rap.

Now I will agree, some metal is a little to over the top, even for me. Some death metal, is a little too far out there. I like the screaming, but I dont care for the entire song to be nothing but a almost talking grunts, if you get what I mean (i.e. Six Feet Under, though their AC/DC covers are hilarious if you ask me)

Personally I like all types of music. to an extent. I have 60GB worth of music on my external. Just sucks that in todays day and age, we are groomed to listen to Creed and Nickleback cause regular radio like to only play pop rock.

oh and forget about dave matthews...listen to some good **** like Stevie Ray Vaugn, Led Zepplin, Hendrix, ZZ Top, etc..Dave matthems aint **** for real guitar talent, just more whiny bull**** music like most of todays pop.

I personally cant wait for LP's actual third album to come. from the song you hear them play at tokyo (i think) on youtube it sounds like its gonna be more like Hybrid Theory, which is a plus IMO.

LP is my favorite group

LP is my favorite group

I heard something on Sirius a couple months about LPs third album. I cant remember what exactly they said, but from the couple Hybrid Theory songs I have in my collection that is what I am thinking.

Saw LP back in 04 up in Nashville. That is one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Awesome show, and a great band. One of my higher ranking ones.

But probably one of my most favorite bands is Pink Floyd...cant go wrong with that.

I am easy to get along with when it comes to music though. I will listen to just about anything. And have my moods for it all. Mostly rock though. Alot of my rock cds i make will range all the way from some Cream to Sepultura. But my random discs not only go from that but then go to some Jay-Z then off to Rick Trevino...then off to some techno then Journey, off to Edgar Winter Group, then the Eagles, then some other random *** side of music.

Re: Hold up what? Rap Music Declining?

Ok kids...

Let's look at some lyrics today from popular "rock" artists.

Let's start with Linkin Park:

"I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There’s only one thing you should know
I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There’s only one thing you should know
I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter"

Basically, what the band is saying here is that they are whiny *** *****es. Their daddy beat them, so now they want to cut their own wrists. They have given up all hope in life, simply because they have no hope (this goes back to the fact that they are whiny *** *****es).

Now, let's move on to another group:

"Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

I embrace my desire to
feel the rhythm, to feel connected
enough to step aside and weep like a widow
to feel inspired, to fathom the power,
to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain,
to swing on the spiral
of our divinity and still be a human.

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been."

Songs like this should be outlawed. They are very "dangerous". They inspire individuals to think outside of the "box". Go where no one's been? What kind of **** is that? I'm guessing it should probably be illegal.

Basically what I'm saying is this: We should all be whiny *****es and cut our wrists.

Re: Hold up what? Rap Music Declining?

Here's some of my favorite lyrics.

Quote:
Line up my adversaries, blast on sight
And **** your boyfriend
*****, I want some *** tonight
You know my stilo
Alazhay and chrystal weed
sure you've heard of all the
freaky **** they say about me
Plus all you Bustas is jealous
Pull your gun out and blast
I dare you niggas to open fire
I'll murder that ***
And disappear before the cops come runnin'
My glocks spittin' rounds
niggas fallin' down clutchin' their stomach
It's west side, death row,
Thug niggas on the rise
Plus they shot my five times
Real niggas don't die
Can ya hear me?
Laced with this game
I know you fear me
Speak and seek what you want
So cowards fear me
My only fear of death
is reincarnation
heart of a solider
with a brain to teach your whole nation
And feelin' no more pain

maybe it just shows you dont need to write a novel to get a message across :dunno:

i dont really like to decipher music too much. if i like it i like it, if not, i dont listen to it. music is all about what makes you feel good, and nobody can tell you what you should and should not listen to because of who made it, or what theyre trying to say, or why, or whatnot.

Oh... so people *****ing about how ****ty their life is makes you "feel good". Makes sense.

I guess I just look for different things in my music. I want to listen to something that actually has some real emotion behind it.

Re: Hold up what? Rap Music Declining?

I listen to just about all aspects of a song. However I dont always base my decision on what they say. Sometimes I just like the music itself. Take some of the "emo" bands. Some of them have no meaning to me, just the music sounds good. Kinda like techno/house/trance, no words, no meaning, but the beat and mixing sound really good.

now lets take a look at some other forms of music.

How bout "classic rock"
Led Zepplin Dazed and Confused
Been Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Lots of people talk and few of them know,
soul of a woman was created below.

You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies.
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize.
Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been.
Gonna love you baby, here I come again.

Every day I work so hard, bringin' home my hard earned pay
Try to love you baby, but you push me away.
Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been,
Sweet little baby, I want you again.

Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Take it easy baby, let them say what they will.
Will your tongue wag so much when I send you the bill?

AC/DC Ride On
It's another lonely evening
And another lonely town
But I ain't too young to worry
And I ain't too old to cry
When a woman gets me down.
Got another empty bottle
And another empty bed
Ain't too young to admit it
And I'm not too old to lie
I'm just another empty head.
That's why I'm lonely
I'm so lonely
But I know what I'm gonna do -
I'm gonna ride on
Ride on
Ride on
Standing on the edge of the road
Ride on
Thumb in the air
Ride on
One of these days
Ride on
I'm gonna change my evil ways
Ride on
Till then I'll just keep riding on.
Broke another promise
And I broke another heart
But I ain't too young to realize
That I ain't too old to try
Try to get back to the start
And it's another red light nightmare
Another red light street
And I ain't too old to hurry
Cause I ain't too old to die
But I sure am hard to beat.
But I'm lonely
God I'm lonely
What am I gonna do -
Ride on
Ride on
Got my self a one way ticket
Ride on
Ride on
Going the wrong way
Ride on
Gonna change my evil ways
Ride on
One of these days
One of these days
Ride on
Ride on
Gonna ride on
Ride on
Looking for a truck
Ride on
Ride on
Keep on riding
Riding on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on
Ride on
Ride on
Gonna have my self a god time
Ride on
Oh yea
Ride on
Ride ride ride
Ride on
One of these days
Ride on
One of these days

See a trend emerging?

how bout some R&B
Jagged Edge-Heartbreak
Can't take another heartbreak
(Why, why, why)
Why did you do the things you did
Knowing that I love you so baby
(Tell me why)
Tell me why, why did you turn around and leave me
Left me for dead baby
(Hurt me so)
Girl you hurt me so
Now I'm on my knees
And baby I'm crying
Tell me why
(Tell me why)
And baby tell me why
(Why, why, why)
And why
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Joe - Stutter feat. Mystikal
My dear, my dear, my dear
You do not know me
But I know you very well
Now let me tell you that I caught you
My dear, my dear, my dear
You do not know me
But I know you very well
Now let me tell you that I caught you

Talk to me, tell me, where you were
Late, last night
Ya-you told me, you were with your friends hanging out
Late, last night
Ya-you're lying cuz you're studdering
Now where were you?
Late, last night
Stop lying to me cause you're tickin' me off
See you're tickin' me off, ooh

[Joe]
I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

[Joe]
Listen
I called you on your cell phone
No answer, tell me why
So I paged you on your two way
Still no response, tell me why
I took care of you, I loved you
And you played me, tell me why
Stop lying to me about where you've been
Cause you're tickin' me off, tick-tick-tickin' me off

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stuttera, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stuttera, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

[Joe]
My dear, my dear, my dear
You do not know me
But I know you very well
Now let me tell you that I caught you
My dear, my dear, my dear
You do not know me
But I know you very well
Now let me tell you that I caught you

[Mystikal]
Quit your lying heffer, watch yourself
Yeah, I'll give the whips but leaving you out here by yourself
I'm keepin' it gangsta with all the tattoos and platinum mouth
I was the rapper you heard about strappin' up in the waffle house
Right next to niggas when I be sparkin' 'em out
And I'm way too cold to plain let you come and dog me out
Should've of knew what you was up to when you got here
Get off my couch, get
And I just can't change it
It's gonna be good
Get out on ya route
My bad, you're out
I seen it coming with that nappy hair
She was running docked out wanting what you had
You let him set you up and you fell for it
Now it's "I-I-I'm sorry, my ***!"
That's why you're paying for it
You got the garbage, I got the trash can for it
The man ain't gon stand for it
You better respect my flow
Don't be stuttering when you're talking to Mystikal
Or lying when you be talking to Joe

[Joe]
I smell cologne damn it's strong
How did ya get it on?
I'm not dumb
He messed up your hair
Make-up's every where
Ooh yeah I'm not dumb
Girl your crying 'cause your lyin'
To my face, I'm not dumb
Stop lying to me about seeing a man
Cause you're tickin' me off , tick-tick-tickin' me off

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

I can tell you're lying
Cause when you're replying
You stutter, stutters, sta-stutter, stutter

With three bricks in a 740

Yo' girl mad cause she told me don't even bring the thang
And then I told her - I said it's cool, get at me
And then my voice got raaaassspy

So stop actin' like a Bia if yo *** ain't blaze

A nigga slapped you in the mouth and told you shut up
Somebody holler get 'em and now you just a victim
Shorty tried to stick 'em, told the pit bull to sick 'em
I know he wanna run but he can't he assed out
Punched him in his chin and then he passed out
Woke up with his pockets turned inside-out
Always hit them weak mother****az right in they mouth
You better stay out the way and act like you ain't havin' ****
Cause niggaz will run up in yo *** like you a nasty *****
You little *****, that's what the callin' you
You'd be a damn fool to act like you ballin' dude
Mindin' yo business, they grabbed you by yo collar
You feel like Marvin Gaye cause they make you wanna holler
But since you can't run, you might as well fight
Quit actin' like a ***** and live a real life
You just a - "Bia' Bia'!"

Country
Toby Keith-Get Drunk and be somebody
Yeah the big boss man, he likes to crack that whip
I ain't nothing but a number on his timecard slip,
I give him 40 hours and a piece of my soul,
Puts me somewhere at the bottom of his totem pole,
Hell I don't even think he knows my name...

[Chorus]
Well all week long I'm a real nobody,
But I just punched out and its paycheck Friday,
Weekends here, good God almighty,
I'm going to get drunk and be somebody
Yeah, yeah, yeah...

My baby cuts hair at a beauty boutique,
Just blowin' and goin' till she dead on her feet,
They walk right in and sit right down,
She gives them what they want and then she spins them around,
Hey I don't think they even know her name...

[Chorus]
All week long she's a real nobody,
but I just picked her up and its paycheck Friday,
Weekends here, good God almighty,
Baby lets get drunk and be somebody
Yeah, yeah, yeah...

Well just average people, in an everyday bar,
driving from work in our ordinary cars,
and I like to come here with the regular Joes,
drink all you want, be the star of the star
of the show

[Chorus]
All week long bunch of real nobodies,
but we just punched out and its paycheck Friday,
Weekends here, good God almighty,
People lets get drunk (lets get drunk!)
All week long we're some real nobodies,
but we just punched out and its paycheck Friday,
Weekends here, good God almighty,
People lets get drunk and be somebody
Yeah, yeah, yeah...

Garth Brooks-Much too young to feel this Damn old
This ol' highway's getting longer
Seems there ain't no end in sight
To sleep would be best, but I just can't afford to rest
I've got to ride in Denver tomorrow night

I called the house but no one answered
For the last two weeks no one's been home
I guess she's through with me, to tell the truth I just can't see
What's kept the woman holding on this long

And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold
I'm much too young to feel this damn old
All my cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
I'm much too young to feel this damn old

The competition's getting younger
Tougher broncs, you know I can't recall
The worn out tape of Chris LeDoux, lonely women and bad booze
Seem to be the only friends I've left at all

And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold
I'm much too young to feel this damn old
All my cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
I'm much too young to feel this damn old

Lord, I'm much too young to feel this damn old

Oh and how bout some Dave Matthews
Grace is Gone
Neon shines through smoky eyes tonight
It’s 2 am - I’m drunk again it’s heavy on my mind
I could never love again so much as I love you
Where you end where I begin is like a river going through
Take my eyes take my heart I need them no more
If never again they fall upon the one I so adore

Excuse me please one more drink
Could make it strong cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart my Grace is gone
One more drink and I’ll move on

One drink to remember then another to forget
How could I ever dream to find sweet love like you again
One drink to remember and another to forget

Excuse me please one more drink
Could make it strong cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart my Grace is gone
One more drink and I’ll move on
One more drink and I’ll be gone

You think of things impossible and the sun refuse to shine
I woke with you beside me your cold hand lay in mine

Excuse me please one more drink
Could make it strong cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart my Grace is gone
One more drink and I’ll go

Excuse me please one more drink
Could make it strong cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart my Grace is gone
One more drink and I’ll move on
One more drink and I’ll be gone
One more drink my Grace is gone

Out of all those the ones with the most meaning are the country, I guess music should be outlawed...seems to be a trend about a girl leaving, cheating, rolling on 24s carrying a gat, people acting like *****es, being a blue collar man, and more girl leaving ya.
