Foose going to help out Ford

Chip Foose overhaulin' mainstream designs - USATODAY.com

Looks like Foose has been called in to help save Ford.

Re: Foose going to help out Ford

Now you're just dreaming. I am sure the initial F150 will be jacked up not only MSRP but at the dealer as well.

After that, I hope he helps with some of the other mainstream stuff to get things updated as the current designers seem to be pretty stagnant.

It'd be nice, but they'll jack the prices back up no matter what though. What a ****in pain..

they are not thinking in the long term, they are thinking about making money now... that is their flaw.

Re: Foose going to help out Ford

I'd say that 99 percent of the time when he is making a design for SEMA or something of the like he sticks with what people like. They won't want to see 15 inch wheels on a stang. I do have to say that most of the time, although the wheels are big, they do actually look good on the car.

Re: Foose going to help out Ford

I like foose's design's. Big wheelwells call for a larger wheel tire to be aesthetically pleasing to the common man. I can't blame the man for selling/designing something that people want. Sides, he knows what function means. One of my favorite early model stangs is the Gambler Green 70 model he did for overhaulin.

Not to big of a fan of the wheels, but I guarantee you that they are still pretty light(for what they are) and functional.

I like Foose, because he does the work, he comes up with the shadetree ideas for making parts and he doesn't take advantage of his position. Atleast that's how the media portrays him. He always seems like he's going the extra mile as opposed to the slave driver Boyd Coddington. I think 4 people now have left him and went to Foose.

Re: Foose going to help out Ford

yeah i hate coddington, guy is a ****** and makes these small *** timelines and makes his workers work day and night for weeks straight just so he can look good. and the finished product isnt even that great, its just more rehashed coddington look.

Re: Foose going to help out Ford

eh i dont like them cause they have no dish to them and theyre too shiny and it contradicts the calm tone of the dark metallic green paint. theyre an awesome design though, just eh in this certain implementation.
