So yes, I can admit my addiction...

...To the Dragon Ball anime series.

I watched Dragon Ball Z whenever I could when I was younger when it first aired on Cartoon Network. Well, then work and more important things took time away from my afternoon pass time, and then it went off the air a few years ago entirely.

Out of boredom a few weeks ago, I downloaded a couple episodes thinking, "wow, I bet I'm going to wonder why the heck I ever watched this crap", and to my surprise, it was as good as I remember it.

Just thought I would share with everyone my achievement of DLing and burning ALL the DBZ and GT episodes and am working on the original DB series now.

Oh, and just to clear things up, this is the ONLY anime series I EVER liked, at least enough to go back and watch again.

So who else watched it?

Re: So yes, I can admit my addiction...

Yup, I wasn't so much a big fan until around Highschool when I was just sorta watching whatever what was on at the *** crack of dawn. Eventually I got caught up with the story line and the fights and got really into DBZ.

I've got all the Z episodes, I didn't care for GT or regular DB when they were young.

I still play the Budakai games that come out tho, they are way better than the ones they did in Japan.

You'd like Naruto if you liked DBZ in terms of a good story line.

Yeah, DB wasn't as action packed, and a lot of GT was kinda dark, not like the rest of the series. I hesitate to watch another anime though because they aren't really something I get into although I did with DBZ

My dad and lil brother used to love that damn show. I always gave them **** for watching a "soap opera". (But I must say it was entertaining at times) They have a **** load of the tapes.

there is only one anime cartoon i'll watch and they stopped it:

Cowboy BeBop

it was anime based on space bounty hunters... and drugs... lots and lots of drugs... made a episode based on shrooms... probably the funniest thing ive ever seen

Re: So yes, I can admit my addiction...

bleach ~ naruto > trigun > dbz

dbz dbz dbz... i watched it in high school and discovered my love of anime. but as i got older i noticed a lot of repetition, be it the progressively stronger villains that prompt the heroes to gain more strength, staring each other down and powering up for an episode and a half before a fight, showing the last 5 minutes of an ep as the first 10 minutes of the next... what else can i say... good in it's day, but there's better stuff now

trigun is really short, very funny. genuinely entertaining.. but then in the last 5 or 6 eps, the story gets really dark and violent.. it doesn't ruin it though. i hope they make another. the story unfolds in a way that keeps you watching, with many twists and turns and real suprises

naruto has a better storyline than dbz, better dialoge and better fights.it's a bit better than trigun, but it's downfall is filler.. they include all kinds of flashbacks and nonsense missions to keep the manga ahead of the anime production-wise.. but, when it's not filler or flashbacks, naruto rocks

bleach is currently my favorite anime. storyline is as good as naruto, and they don't include nearly as much in the way of filler... they did add a story arc to let the manga gain ground in production, but the arc itself meshed with the story, and didn't seem too contrived or tacked on. they also use flashbacks, but they're used as character developement tools, interesting stuff most times

so, if you want to check out new anime, check out bleach and naruto... personally, i recommend the japanese audio versions, as they're further in storywise than the english translations, not to mention much better done, with the voices actually matching the character. all my reviews here are based on the japanese audio version, except for dbz

dattebayo fansubs, LLC -bleach and naruto (and some other) torrents

Naruto & Bleach Mania - Free Naruto Downloads and Forums - Anime and Manga - bleach and naruto, anime and manga, direct downloads (recent for free, complete series and many more on private donator's server)

Bleach 7 - The First Source for Bleach Information, Media, News, and Fan Interaction! -bleach anime and mange torrents

i'm the one that turned spector v onto japanese naruto
