Re: Just passed a gas station $3...

Brent, I'm sorry, but the only person you can blame is yourself and everyone else. If people would decide they were going to stop buying gas, we could make the companies drop the prices.

The real reason they are raising prices is because they know they can raise the prices and everyone will still pay them. Why sell it for 2.50 when you can get 3.00.

Re: Just passed a gas station $3...

lol oh here we go, another "dont buy gas on tuesday" email..........

the fact of the matter is the US needs to get control of its own oil and stop getting it elsewhere. thats the only way it will get cheaper. moving over to hybrids or flex fuel vehicles will only drive the price per gallon up, the less we use the more expensive it will get. theoretically, the price of gasoline per gallon should be less when we use more of it. but then again, its a necessity, so we need to buy it no matter what.

4-4.50 Cdn per gallon here. And to think we are sitting on the worlds number 2 list for reserves, oh well

I have to buy premium but I dont have to drive every day more like once a week or when ever I want to so its not to bad... but buying premium does suck (2.80 more a full up ftw)

Brandon seriously thats the most annoying thing I hear people complain about. "oh no I wont put 93 in it's so much more then 87" not really you "might" pay 5 bucks more a fill up, big whoop. I run only 93 in my truck and I use it for delivery. The added performance/mileage is well worth it IMO.

Just be glad you only fill up once in a while. I go through 10-15 dollars of gas a day.

Re: Just passed a gas station $3...

do you use a stock tune in your truck if so you are probably getting worse performance and gas milage. I used to run 89 in my 01 and when I went back to 87 I picked up 1 to 2 mpg and the performance was the same.

Re: Just passed a gas station $3...

lol you run 93 when you dont need it? what a waste of ****ing money.

i run 91 only cause i have the diablo tune installed and maxed out the timing and leaned out the fuel curve a bit. otherwise id just run 87. i dont complain about the difference between tanks but im not gonna spend 5$ more when i dont have to, thats just stupid. your seat of the pants gains are meaningless, n00bika, your truck runs the same be it on 89 or 93 UNLESS you have something that requires the need of higher octane.

the only time you need premium is if your car requires it (terminators do) or if youre towing and need the protection against predetonation under load, or you have a tune and require additional protection/octane rating to keep knock/predetonation at bay so you can run more timing/leaner curves.

93torque tune on my truck. I'm not going off "seat of the pants" when I didn't have my programmer I avg 15city 19/hwy with my 87 tune I went up to 17city and 21hwy and with my 93 I am getting 19 almost 20city and around 23-25hwy depending on if I have the a/c on. You also need to remember that My truck is under powered for the weight unlike your mustang. Running 93 DOES help my truck alot all around mileage and performance. The main reason I even run 93 IS because it improved my mileage.
