Microsoft is Dead

A very interesting look at how Microsoft is loosing its hold on the Technological world. I rather enjoyed it.

Microsoft has been playing catch up for a long time now.

Re: Microsoft is Dead

With the way Mac has embraced mp3s and multimedia while Microsoft has done everything but push it away, I wouldn't doubt it. Sure MS has added the whole Media Center thing on XP and now again with Vista, but at the same time, they're doing everything in their power to eliminate these things as well, an dit's going to result in career suicide. If they would actually do something original for a change and not release stuff that 3 or 4 years behind the competition that still has a ton of issues, they might actually have a chance.

Re: Microsoft is Dead

its a very basic rule of business... if you dont take care of your customers someone else will. In todays business world just satisfying your customers is not nearly enough to keep them. Over 70% of people asked said they would dump their current XXX business and go with someone else even thought hey are satisfied just for a better deal. The reason they have been around as long as they have without any real competition is simply because of the normalization factor... having 10 different major OS's = major issues .... developing software etc etc becomes a nightmare.
