Well, it turns out my friends bloodhound had a false pregnancy so I couldn't get a bloodhound. So today I went to the Petsmart adoption day just to look at the dogs - I did not plan on adopting one.....that is until I met Sunny. She reminded me so much of Maggie Mae (my lab puppy) in both build and personality that I couldn't leave her alone. So one thing leads to another, and I am a dog owner again, haha. I am moving into my new house and fixing the Jeep this weekend, so I am getting her from her foster owner next weekend.
She is an 11 week old Catahoula Leopard Dog (the Louisiana
folks my have heard of them) and probably weighs about 15-20 pounds right now. Her tail is docked in a really random place, but other than that she is perfectly healthy and really sweet. She refuses to set still for more than 1 second, so here are some crappy pictures of her:
The blue eyes are crazy. You can't tell from the pictures, but she is really stout and has a huge, blocky head and GIANT webbed feet.
This is what she might look like when she gets older. This breed came from breeding wolves, greyhounds, and mastiffs together. Because of this they range is size and build. They can range from 45-90 pounds full grown and can be built like a greyhound or a mastiff.
